Ben Rector's band is amazing. His drummer is always so spot on with his grooves. His playing is simple, yet there are so many amazing subtleties that he adds that just provides this powerful groove on every song. Drummers like him are what make me love drumming. I mean, I love complex and flashy... but a strong groove gets me every time. You killed it Jimmy. It's amazing when a very skilled drummer such as yourself brings it back to the basics

Actually there is no gate. I just played them quietly. You can hear them with headphones on.

The snare is tuned too low. Tune it up a bit and add reverb.
