The book of Enoch was included in the Canon for 500 years, it was removed by evil unscrupulous men, because it is the Rosetta stone in understanding Genesis 6. People are reluctant to read it, because they don't realize there were two Enoch's, Cain's son Enoch, the evil one, and the son of Jared, Enoch the righteous.
The book of Enoch is one of lucifer, the devil satan's biggest lies ever written by men. It was not written by Enoch who was translated into heaven by GOD,
Genesis 5:19 - And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
20 - And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
21 - And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah

Reasons why it is a lie!
1) The document would not have survived the flood due to the flood waters covering and filling up every nook and cranny place of earth. Genesis 7:11 - In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
The very sources of water broken up and covered with water. The written document would have withered into smitherings.
2) The author of the book is not revealed. The book could not have written itself up unless an evil force (lucifer, the devil satan himself or, legions of devils & demons & evil spirits), was upon the fraudulent writer who wanted to thwart the Truth about GOD'S Word.
1 Timothy 1:4 - Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 - Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3) Conspirators, like the envious Jews who hated JESUS and crucified HIM, possibly got together and compiled the book of Enoch making it look like an authentic old writing just like books of the apocrypha which really, are deceitful.
A great pity that the Pope removed the books to prevent Angel worship. I read the books online. Was riveting. I was enthralled. Filled in a lot of blanks for me. I also ordered & read the Book of Jasher. It gave so much extra detail up yo Joshua. Made the Bible come to life in a new way. Jasher means Just or Righteous & is mentioned in the Bible.
The Ethiopian Church still has the books of Enoch in their Bible.

Very interesting story, the part that I liked most is where Noah knew that when Methuselah dies God will send the flood. Jesus had said that just as it was in the days of Noah that the Son of Man will suddenly appear to the ungodly and unprepared who are focused on worldly things marrying, buying and selling etc. But what do you think about the righteous children of God who are obedient per time will His appearance take them by surprise? Noah is an example he was prepared, and knew the time. The answer is seen in 1 Thess 5:1-10, in summary the obedient children of God are in light so that day should not take them by surprise. Just like Noah was in the light and well prepared, he was saved. But for the worldly, who are in darkness, that day will come like a thief in the night. Even christians who are unfaithful and had not repented, Jesus will appear like a thief in the night (Rev 3:3).

Why do so many people say Methuselah was the oldest person to ever live? The Bible says only that the flood wouldn't come until Methuselah died. There were probably millions of people on earth at that time. The Bible mentions only those in the Godly line, many of whom lived to be in their 900's. Quite a number of others could well have lived to be over 1,000 years old.

Why is the book of Enoch not in the bible?

According to JESUS as HE spoke recorded in Jonn 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the ONE Who came from heaven-- the SON of Man. Therefore according to JESUS, Enoch and Methuselah as well as Elijah Did Not go to heaven!! As written in other places in the Holy Bible, they along with all the other righteous or saved are asleep awaiting their awakening by GOD in the resurrection of the just.
Why didn't you put up the ENTIRE verse of John 3:13: "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man WHICH IS IN HEAVEN"? Curious; Jesus, while on this earth, said He was right then still in heaven?!?! Perhaps you are misunderstanding the verse? Is II Kings 2:11-12 lying "Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven"? What about Gen. 5:24 "he was not; for God took him" and Heb. 11:5 "that he should not see death"?
BTW no where does the bible say Methuselah was taken to heaven. He died - Gen. 5:27.
I used the NIV translation. Verse 13 ends where I ended it. I choose to believe Jesus. HE is the only ONE (as HE said) to go into heaven. There are 3 heavens. The third where GOD's throne is located; the second heaven where the stars are located. And the first heaven where the air and the clouds are located. Today man has walked upon the moon and sent exploratory vehicles to some other planets. Only the Son of Man has ascended into the third heaven.

Numbers 6:24-26 - The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
I have always found the bible passage at Gen 5:24 fascinating. Enoch "was no more, for God took him". In his letter to the Christians, Jude and the aposlte Paul both expound on the neaning of this circumstance. Jude 14,15- Enoch is the first recorded prophet of God, whose assignment was to warn that wicked society to change their ways or experience God's adverse judgements- which eventually were executed in the great Flood.
But why would God "take him"?
Upon close consideration of what the Apostle Paul explains at Hebrews 11:5, many bible scholars conclude that much of the response to Enoch's preaching was not pleasant, and it may well have gotten to the point where his life was in danger or may have been the object of pursuit. So God "transferred" his faithful servant. That is gave him witness, a vision of confirmation that he was rewarded with the beautiful environment of paradise, such as what man was supposed to enjoy here on earth, before Adam & Eve lost it thru disobedience. They conclude that God ended his life and doing so while he was enraptured with a vision of the future blessings when paradise will be restored here on earth- which was and IS God's original purpose. God does not lie. And nothing can stop him from carrying out his will.
I am not a well versed person, however consider this. I can see how Enoch and Elijah are not dead but alive in Heaven as Jesus is alive. They will be the 2 witnesses spoken of in Revelations. Since the Bible says it is appointed unto man once to die, but Elijah and Enoch have not, however they will in the tribulation. I have heard many preachers say it would be Moses and John.
@@aaronfurlough7503 I too do not consider myself to be well versed either. I do have Bible study tools that I refer to that helps me to gain more broadened understanding of the Bible. It draws from much documented research, nunerous translations of the Bible as well as anthro and archeological findings that helps people better understand the bible accounts. What I am amazed about is this: although there are generally accepted 66 books that make up the Bible, which were sometimes written hundreds of years apart, by a vast variety of individuals from all walks of life and experiences, the things each of them write about ties into all the other accounts in the Bible. And this is why the Bible is so often called the Word of God. That is to say, there may be 40 different human "secretaries", who did the writing, but only one author- God himself. The unity and harmony of all these books irregardless in which of the 2 "testiments" they are listed into- they harmonize with each other. Something which scientists say is an impossible feat for so many individuals who lived in seperate eras to accomplish on their own. If that is true- then whatever explanantion we come up with- other accounts in the Bible should be able to verify. Hence other Bible books will verify that Enoch and Elijah are indeed alive in the spirtual realm as you have stated. My curiosity is sparked so when I find time I will do some digging to find a Bible verse that supports that. I do know of one well known Bible character, whom the scriptures confirm, did not ascend to heaven at his death. You can identify that person at Acts 2:34.
It may well arouse your curiosity as to why this person, arguably one of the finest and faithful of all the Isrealite Kings in Biblical history, was not resurrected to heavenly existence, by God.

Because Adam sinned the Lord gave Jacob (spring) to the curse, and Israel (summer) to reproaches.
I trust God for His patience to our limitations and mistakes, as He gives everyone the chances to the right path. God's dialogue with Abraham before He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, shows even today, that our Almighty God as revealed in Christ Jesus, continues to show us mercy by grace. ☝️I understood this passage @ first like many great believers or preachers do today, but I came 2 find that we got it all wrong. Though many prove their understandin from some original texts they claim, but still couldn't get it that those texts as well might b written by those who didn't understand what Moses meant. Many still wrongly comparing it with Daniel & what God spoke of how enmity will b between Satan's offspring & that of a women. We've missed mesup scripture by referring those who were born to them as "Nephilim", which could not only refered 2 "giants or human of unusual strength & sizes in body but also mean "the fallen one" which is derived from Hebrew word "Naphal". So, bcos of this Naphal & sons of God, many Christians took it as the fallen who came 2 corrupt mankind by sexual act which I believe is not true. Bcos as from verse 1 until where this message ends in Genesis 6, only spoke meant specifically 2 real human beings & their wicked works, not 2 angels from heaven or those who had fallen. I believe that even Moses the writer, did not refer to what we think the word was referring to. We misunderstood him & translated what we thought he meant. We rely so much in all written in Hebrew language 2 b true, forgetting that they might get it wrong too with God's spirit true Revelation. Remember that God is able 2 hide all truth from us 4 a good reason untill He wills to some day. Same as His spirit can convince us to believe errors bcos of how contrary we behave & live from His will. I advise u 2 Listen carefully & know that 2 whom God spoke against & sworn 2 distroy due 2 their sins. Did we hear God say 2 distroy spirit bein with their offsprin born 2 men as well as those women?
