In regards to the lip gloss/stain in the Moonlight Mermaid collection. With a lot of Asian lip glosses, what you want to do is let is dry down before rubbing your lips together. It makes it shinier and gets rid of the bad taste that it has upon application (didn't realize this until I was watching an Asian youtuber after I'd had that gloss for months).

This is a popular brand in China and definitely not just for collection purposes. But like most Asian makeup brands, it is not very friendly to those with darker skins. This issue mainly applies to their blushes and setting powders. Their eyeshadows and highlighters are pretty pigmented. Their lip products are decent too.
I was so nervous about flower knows bc its a little pricey for the palettes but i got one of the swan ballet palettes for Christmas and its SO good. the mattes are so workable and the shimmers are super high shine.
Wish they had deeper shades of blush for different skintones. I know that people say "it's Asian" but as an Asian, that really doesn't make sense to me... have you ever met a Southeast Asian? They are typically in the medium-tan range. It is also apparently common practice for medium skintone East Asians to buy and ship their makeup from family in US. If you've ever been around a large population of East Asians, you'll see that they span the range and it just means makeup is not accessible to those in the homeland.
Also, if you’re marketing to an international market then you need to have a good range of products that works for a variety of skintones. I’m nowhere near East Asia and I get ads from them on a regular basis. I don’t have a dark skintone but even I couldn’t use those lighter blushes (the cream ones would work for me though probably).
I love these pretty makeups ive seen so many online. I have never wanted to own the makeup however its cute for my daughter to play with when she plays dress up. Lol
I really love Flower Knows! I have the entire Moonlight Mermaid collection (it was the only way to get the fancy cabinet that goes with it lol) and the blue and brown shadow palette is my absolute favorite. I've been eyeing the black palette from the Little Angel collection but I'm currently on a no buy so it's going to have to wait. The look you did today is essentially my favorite way to use it, it was really fun seeing someone do a really similar look.
kaleidos, florasis, and flower knows are all Chinese brands. Chinese people tend to be more accepting of more pigmented colors, so usually Chinese brands have more interesting color stories compared to Korean or Japanese brands
I love Flower knows, their powders are the best, I love other things too, blushes are a pit sheer but nice. Lip gloss and sticks are great too.I dont have any highlighters but heard they are good

Honestly for this look I like the blush on you. It will start to look clowny if you had a bolder blush. There will be too much to look focal points and the makeup will look off. For bolder eyes, you have to mute the cheeks. If you have a bold cheek you mute the eyes. It’s about balance and less is more. Plush that blush made you instantly look more youthful.
Their packaging is totally my aesthetic and I own and love a few pieces, I want the swan ballet and little angel collections so bad but im on a very low buy right now. Im glad you finally tried them! 💜

The shiny lipsticks are the ones from the swan ballet collection, the little angel lipsticks are matte. I have one of the swan ballet lipsticks and really like it cos i also love shiny lippies :)
Tretinoin can make your skin very dry. Get a lower mix from pharmacy through you skin Dr if the combo you have, it affects your skin negative. I always slather cream on after Tretinoin, so it helps from getting too dry. ❤
The look turned out beautiful. The eyeshadows looked like they blended out effortlessly. Even though you didn’t care for the blush color, it still looked great on your skin. Also, the lip products had good color range.
The reviews arent very good for that cream. The best Ive found, although expensive, is laneige water bank. My skin is super dry but that cream just feels like silk. Even my husband asked me to use it every day, and hes not much for taking care of his skin. It just feels that good!
I was told by a dermatologist to put Vaseline under eyes and then apply tretnoin to avoid “tretnoin from tretnoining”. I still want some tretnoin under my eyes though🤪 because they are going to need that “anti-aging”

I have bought selectively some items and i eo love them for what they are ethereal great quality make up with impressive intricate unique packaging and embossing ❤. I chose sales though since these are not items i will use daily. Setting compact powder though i am using a lot and i love it for the tzone
I literally just bought one of the Swan blushes (#4) at my favorite Asian market. I am very pale human so it works well for me. The texture is very soft and builds up very naturally.

Try Elemis Ultra Rich formula for your under eyes. ☺️ I’m a few years older than you and have a few more fine lines and wrinkles and I swear by it; it’s the only thing that got rid of my flaking skin. Love your channel!
Tarababyz raves about their loose face powders & her channel was where I first saw the brand. The packaging & presentation are just breath taking but everything looks so pale & subtle in product photos I wouldn't know what to try without actual swatches. If ethereal is your vibe, they have products you will love.

I have same issue with tret in the same spot. As soon as i apply makeup, you see the flaking/peeling 😫 I use Dr Jart Ceramidin cream over my whole face and neck at night when using tret, with no separate eye cream and my regular products in the morning. No other actives. But I have to stay on top my moisturizing game, no waiting until late night to wash my face. Every 12 hours, not giving the area time to dry out.
I think I confused Flower Knows with Florasis. Like I thought "but Angie you used that brand many times before 🧐" but no😭 I checked older posts just to realise.

When my under eyes get really dry and flaky, I use Aquafor. I get some pretty bad dermatitis when my allergies flare and when I started tretinion my under eyes flaked too and aquafor and petroleum based healing ointments really saved the day.

Thank you so much for reviewing this brand. I get so many ads for it, as well so many influencers talk about it, but I wasn't 100% certain I could trust their reviews. I have a love hate relationship with this brand (I don't own anything from them). Like at first glance, it looks so pretty and special. But then it starts to look.... more like something you'd give a child, not something you'd have for yourself. The lipstick containers are so thick, the brushes are so short and thick, and everything is packaged in that shiny plastic that is supposed to look like fancy metal. It's a bit much. Plus, ultimately what I'm buying it for is the makeup, and honestly at those prices I can get high end makeup. I have been talking myself out of trying this brand, and now I think I can keep doing that. Put my money towards things that really interest me.
Yeah i have the same exact problem. That's why i never bought something from them even though at first glance the makeup looked pretty but after looking a little bit more, i tought that its just plastic in the end and the colour pay off didnt sell me. Now i have other beautiful palettes for very high quality and good prices and i'm happy about it ❤
I thought out of all brands that keep describing and representing them self as " The most beautiful makeup" Flower Knows suits it the best!!!. Cuz majority formula of those brands end up just a kids make-up toy in reality unusable, kitch and joke🎉, even for someone collect as sentimental items....maybe it given more traumatized to them. So I'm glad that at least Flower Knows understand how to do ot well🎉
So, I’ve been having similar issues with my under eyes, due to retinol… and the only thing that seems to help me is the Elf Holy Hydration Eye Cream. No joke. I was so skeptical, but CeraVe didn’t work, Farmacy didn’t work, etc.
It's nice to see Flower Knows products in good lighting. The few YT reviews I have seen on Asian brand makeup have lighting that is too overexposed. I was surprised the eyeshadow was so pigmented, so that was good. Flower Knows isn't my aesthetic - too "girly" and bulky. And their product line reeks of colorism and rubs me the wrong way as someone who grew up seeing it and still sees it today.
Those light, shimmery eyeliners are to highlight your eye bags "aegyosal".

Try Aquaphor topped over an eye cream on your undereyes to lessen the drying affects of tretinoin.

I feel like they put more effort into the packaging to make it all look fancy but the product itself is bland.
Yeah i have the same exact problem. That's why i never bought something from them even though at first glance the makeup looked pretty but after looking a little bit more, i tought that its just plastic in the end and the colour pay off didnt sell me. Now i have other beautiful palettes for very high quality and good prices and i'm happy about it ❤

I thought out of all brands that keep describing and representing them self as "
The most beautiful makeup" Flower Knows suits it the best!!!. Cuz majority formula of those brands end up just a kids make-up toy in reality unusable, kitch and joke🎉, even for someone collect as sentimental items....maybe it given more traumatized to them. So I'm glad that at least Flower Knows understand how to do ot well🎉
So, I’ve been having similar issues with my under eyes, due to retinol… and the only thing that seems to help me is the Elf Holy Hydration Eye Cream. No joke. I was so skeptical, but CeraVe didn’t work, Farmacy didn’t work, etc.
It's nice to see Flower Knows products in good lighting. The few YT reviews I have seen on Asian brand makeup have lighting that is too overexposed.
I was surprised the eyeshadow was so pigmented, so that was good.
Flower Knows isn't my aesthetic - too "girly" and bulky. And their product line reeks of colorism and rubs me the wrong way as someone who grew up seeing it and still sees it today.
