@johnnyXx4321 It's not that it's not believable, it's that it's not entertaining. If that normal looking schlub can cut promos like ric flair then he can be molded into something great. On the flip side if you have a big enough dude who also has enough mobility to work compelling matches - you can just pair the silver-tounge gas station schlub with with the charisma-void giant who looks like a monster. The ultimate example of this would be Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, but even an indie promotion could potentially figure out how to draw people if they just understood the nature of what draws in general audiences.
Thats the thing these smarks doesnt understand....back in the days wrestling skills never really mattered at all...the best example is hulk hogan...he was considered 100% marketable but 0%in wrestling skills...he was a big attraction not just physical wise but also charisma wise...it was evident when he left wwe and great wrestlers like bret hart and hbk took over they werent that much of a draw compared to hogan...am not saying they werent draws ofcourse they were but not hogan level...it was only recently that wrestling skills got more considered for building a star...like AJ in tna was their biggest star 95% bcoz of his ring work only

This is one of the things I love abt AEW when they include old timers/part timers they let them get their moments in but don't rely on wrestlers from the '90's & early 2000's to be the top guys of the brand, excluding Jericho bcz he's in a league of his own & he's brand new. He's the youngest AEW champion ever, for crying out loud. And had WWE relied on him more when he was their part timer they'd better off right now. Bcz he was the part of the show when they weren't relying on him, when their blessed writers had nothing for him, he did his mystique from the X Men comics thing & transformed into a new Jericho, that's why he doesn't count as an old timer. He is reincarnated like Dustin, in my eyes, accept Dustin is just a lil older in his new form. But for those guys who haven't and/or can't hit the reset button & reincarnate & change their character but we as fans still like to see them from time to do their big move or their finisher, AEW doesn't have them hogging the spotlight to relive glory days like WCW had the tendency to do & TNA was simply addicted in doing & WWE who's abt to OD in doing especially if it's a special wrestler you can unlock in the upcoming 2k game. An idea I think they nabbed from TNA bcz their game had Suicide & then the game drops & Suicide later comes out to save the day, which I marked out on when I was a TNA fan. But yeah, this was perfect &it was placed in a perfect segment WWE regrets all the fuk'd up shid they've done to this family every wk. They regret the shuckin' n jivin' & dancin' in polka dots, they regret never truly giving the golden one his proper run bcz they didn't think he had the proper skills or look, they kept the golden one in a box, they regret putting restraints on the creativity of the youngest, even he'd come up with great character ideas & film the vignettes for them, he'd be given the green light & at the last minute they'd tell him no, such creativity that they're still running with his version of the intercontinental championship from all those yrs, tortured a true athlete & artist, visionary that the last time most saw him_he was in tears leaving. And bcz WWE thought they were God & could not be beat & they hypnotized us, lied to us, tricked us, starved us, belittled us, & now here is the uprise of wrestling. Billy was always a large man, even by WWF standards. But WWE up until the late 2000s was the Land of the Giants. Even at 6'6", being in the ring with guys like Big Show, Kane, Albert, Test, The Undertaker, Mark Henry all on a regular basis made Billy Gun just look like a regular big guy....even though guys that were flat out smaller than him like The Rock and Triple H are genuinely large men in their own right.
Billy's 2 inches from being a legit giant. It was just hard to notice before.
