So glad someone finally did a video on Cami! It breaks my heart that Leah (Cami's actress) supposedly left the show due to fans sending her death threats. Cami wasn't a bad character and this video just highlights everything about her that made her so complex and tragic. Well done!
This was an Absolutely Amazing Masterpiece of Camille O’Connell a Fantastic Character in The Originals. She was one few people to see the good in Niklaus Mikaelson. There are Many People that Klaus has loved be she always be the one in his heart and carry her for The Rest of Eternity.
I cannot believe it's taken this long for a new, great tribute to who she was and how she shaped not just K but all of the Mikaelsons in one way or another. I love the message of the originals with K saying H taught him to love unconditionally, but I was also super irritated because that was not true. It was this person, this Brave Bartender who taught him to express his soft feelings for others, and open his heart FOR the chance of making things right with his Daughter. To see that he isn't a monster like he and others view him, but that he was just as human as everyone else. She did all this, by simply being. She didn't need to talk to him, or direct him. He changed of his own accord because he was moved by her. Her story is tragic but so inspiring because like your video shows the complexity of her life and how in the end she still could not escape her "fate" it was so, human. I love that your video goes through the different parts of what makes her her, the compassion, the fighter, and the logistic workings of her mind in how she saw the world. I thought this video truly captured who she was in every aspect and how her one life changed so many others- Thanks for making this. It's been long over due.
I really wish they had kept her human or that she refused to transition (like what was her name Ivy?). Cami was definitely still bada$$, but I feel like she lost her charm when she became a vampire. I'm also really happy they brought her back for the end. People might hate her, but you can't deny that she didn't change Klaus. Hope might never truly "know" her (I refuse to believe her mom and aunts and everyone doesn't speak highly of her) but because of Cami, Hope had a loving father and that's beautiful!
The writers ruined Cami as a vampire. They focussed too much on her fears and anxieties. Yes, her transition was traumatic but Klaus was there (who wished to spend eternity with her), so was Davina and Vincent (powerful witches). She had Hayley (a hybrid friend), and Marcel (another close friend) there for her too and yet the writers acted like she was all alone and no one could help her when she was literally surrounded by people who care and love her. Camille was smart too so why wasn't that amplified? Her mind and logic was one of her defining characteristics. It was why Klaus was drawn to her in the first place. It was shitty storyline that she stole from Klaus because she that would never do that just to protect herself. She has a black belt and wasn't scared to fight Mikael to save a dying Klaus. And no one can say Aurora was scarier than Mikael. If the writers wrote her character properly, she'd focus on her physical skills, enhanced by her vampirism, and her mind to outsmart enemies like Aurora instead of being a thief, breaking the trust of someone she loves, and relying on dark witchy objects; effectively turning her into a coward and a liar. There was no reason to turn her into the antithesis of her human counterpart when she turned into a vampire. None whatsoever. No other vampire did unless they turned off their humanity. Vamp Cami had so much potential to be human Cami x100... but the writers ruined it because they were going to kill her off a few episodes later. It was utter injustice to the character and the actress. They turned her into a deceitful, frightened coward instead of highlighting the personality they introduced at the start: an intelligent, intuitive and courageous woman. Why those qualities disappeared when she turned will forever be the biggest plothole.
what a stunning video and way to honor cami. klaus’ anchor and refuge and a wonderful friend to the mikaelson’s who gave so much and had an amazing yet short lived storyline. i can only imagine how much her character would’ve continued to evolve had leah not been bullied off the show. people are so cruel and for what? she’s simply graceful and kind. she’s what most want to be. thank you for this video!
Hiii could you do a video of yours for elena??? After all she was all of the commotion in TVD... btw I love your videos they always give such an emotional perspective and story!!! ❤️❤️
It wasn't a decision. Leah Pipes {Cami's character} asked for her character to get killed of because of Toxic Klaroliners. They wanted Klaus to find his way to Caroline so they sent her tweets saying they hate her and she should die of cancer. Even Julie Plec {Producer} got involved. By the way Klaus did not find his way back to Caroline. He spent his last day with her showing her New Orleans, as she wore Stefen's ring around her neck. He took her to her to where he met Camille and told Caroline Him and Camille amused about art and described Camille in the best way possible. Caroline's expression after knowing Klaus found someone who truly changed him alongside Hope and Hayley is beyond amazing. Klaroline was an amazing ship and are great friends nothing more. Caroline kissed Klaus only when he was going away. 1. When he left Mystic Falls. 2. When he died for Hope. You have a reason to hate Camille when she turned but Vampirism was new to her and she never wanted to become a monster but once again, She got involved in the Mikaelson world. I know everyone has their own opinion, I totally respect yours so I decided to share mine. To clarify the hate tweets you can google "Leah Pipes Hate"
She was the only one that actually kept thinking anyone can change, she changed Klaus a little bit
i think she changed him alot🤷🏽♀️

the fact that she dedicated her last words to Hope showed how selfless she was...
This video is a great way to tell everyone that Cami was an important character and had storyline not just to be the love of klaus.
😭😭 i just remembered that Hope Doesn’t Even Remember Camille
She remembers her as the girl who Klaus compelled to write for him (she said it 😢)
