wow, this looks incredible, I made one yesterday following another recipe but this one looks way better. I can't wait to try this. I also am curious if blackberries would be the same , probably. I love this, thank you
I needed to make some raspberry ganache for a cake I was making. Normally I buy fruit purée but couldn’t find it. I used this recipe and it’s top. Thanks man. Saves a lot of money too because fruit purées already made are €€€€€€
Pleasure....fruit puree are crazy expensive and that is an easy and cheaper alternative...plus it is good ...cheers for giving it a go 😊 happy cooking and baking 😋
Thank you for posting this. I plan on trying your version over the others on the internet. I like that you didnt boil the raspberries but added them to the syrup later. The French know their stuff! 😊
BONJOUR Melanie, thank you very much for the feedback. Please try...I believe not cooking the fruit really gives the sauce a better quality..stronger colour amd flavour. Plus you are keeping the vitamins intact
I have never tried making coulis by adding the raspberries that way, I will have to try it. I like freezing berries as you have less waste - I have started using the freezer for a lot more of my garden produce to even out the gluts and the shortages. I like to use the raspberry coulis in Cranachan, Panna Cotta or Raspberry Ripple ice cream, stirring in the coulis when the vanilla ice cream comes out of the machine. I like recipes that let the star ingredient shine, even if you don't have much of it. Thank you, great new twist on a recipe!
Hello Vox, you are welcome. Please try it and let me know what you think. I always use this technique for all my frozen berries. It keeps a vibrant colour that way.. Mix with ice cream or your favorite yoghurt :)
I had some serious phonotrauma over the weekend Dr Dan..sneezing! Unfortunately we can't help the sneeze, and its not good to stifle it...i wonder if there is a 'technique' for lessening the 'trauma' 🤔 The rest is more manageable, thank you so much for this video😊
Hello, oh dear haha my comment was meant for another video ( on voice) I was watching near the same time as yours.. how did I manage that? Anyway I do apologise! However I DID use this recipe for a mixed berry coulis all exactly as you described in the video and it was great. Thanks so much!!
