Been marathoning alot of your videos for like 3 days (just found you, loved HxH since like 2009) SO. Finished this video, and randomly decided to watch the original The Matrix, i know the rules and realities are different yadayadapereperepere BUT its kind of cool to think that IF there were nen in the Matrix continuity, Neo couldnt become The One before pulling a Hisoka and dying, then receiving the post-mortem nen? Again, strange fanfic comparison but i just HAPPENED to watch them back to back lol
Wild Theory:
Melody finds the 'Sonata of Darkness' from Tserriednich's collection and he gives it to her since he really wants to hear it. Mellody plays it for Tserriednich. Melody doesn't die though. Turns out if you play the piece perfect to a willing audience. It strengthens the aura of the audience but Tserriednich becomes even stronger; Melody's body completely heals.
But... Everyone around her can sense an absolutely ominous threat.
Tserriednich strengthens frighteningly fast and masters nen to an unbelievable power. His nen beast becomes ever worse.
As for Theta... idk. Tserriednich seems to building a liking towards her... not the 'art' part. More like affection.

i need to see how this arc develops. for me, this is one of most interesting stories and I'm dying to see what happens. I lean towards Kurapika surviving on some lv, but at what cost, and on what lv? idk. I do feel he could die or lose his nen forever and then some.. or become a death nen ghost thing idk.. we all know whose head that is, and what's gonna happen to a point, but what happens from there, is what I'm super curious to see

Now I have a question. In York New, the phantom troup had stolen the scarlet eyes, the mac Guffin of the arc. What happened to that pair? Did Kurapika managed to get it or will it be the final boss?

I wouldn't be surprised if Togashi, the king of subverting expectations, adds some sort of loophole that allows Kurapika to get his life back.
I wonder how Nitro Rice would interact with Emperor Time... Could he gain those 5 years back by reaching the Dark Continent?
We know that nen users can extend their lifespan (Netero and Linne for example) to over a hundred years. I wonder if emperor time takes into consideration that extra “nen life” of a person. And I wonder if Kurapika would also try get some nitro rice to negate emperor time’s drawbacks

If Tserriednich is pronounced like a German name, which it probably is, the second syllable is not "rai" (sorry, I can't accurately convey the written forms of the pronunciation), but rather "rii" or "ree", of you will, though the latter would be less accurate.

His skills would be the most useful in every day life. He is an expert negotiator, charismatic, takes no sh*t, confident, fearless to the point of facing certain death against Hisoka, pushes himself to his absolute physical limits, one of the most empathetic and kindest people alive, tall, handsome, strong, intelligent, killer sense of style, and even a real-world beauty pageant competitor (I forgot who) said that he is her type. My mans is a golden boy.
The more that I think about it, Togashi creates some of the best characters in fiction. The whole Yu Yu Hakusho main quartet are probably my favorite main cast of characters in any medium.

Princes, bodyguards, spy's from other princess, beyound neteroes men, the spiders, hisoka, illumi and his brother, the zodiacs, Beyonds expedition crew, Ging Pariston tge Princess nen beasts and their abilities to manipulate and empower others.
The amount of subplots within subplots in this arc is crazy and the fact they're so thoroughly fleshed out the potential for interactions is of the charts. Togashi is truely a mad man creating game of thrones level of things to keep track off

@@CJ739compared to the 13 years it has taken George RR Martin to still be writing the 6th book in the ASOIAF series, Togashi's hiatuses are very reasonable.
This is why I am actually glad to a certain extent that Togashi takes so many hiatuses. It wouldn't be possible to write this story week to week, or perhaps even month to month. This is the type of story that really needs GRRM-esque levels of time and planning to execute properly. If he rushed this, it would be an absolute mess.

Togashi is a genius. This arc has too many subplots and political strategies. It's a game theory mayhem. And I love it.
haven't seen anyone talk about this, but there is a way for him to live. if he consumes nitro rice, he can spam emperor time indefinitely as long as he has a continuous supply. even if he eats it once, that should be enough to nearly reset his lifespan.

From what I remember, he can do things like use them to break up tumors or something, but not advanced and nuanced manipulation of physical constructs in the body
Emperor Time is such a well crafted and thematically fitting upgrade to Kurapika’s abilities. The fact that it can remain active while he is unconscious is absolutely diabolical and another unique spin on conditional power that Togashi excels at. This man has really created a monumental amount of work for himself as well as setting expectations sky high for this arc and I couldn’t be more thrilled to see where it takes us.
If the anime of this does ever come out, I hope Basho's rap battle gets a glow-up.

I do hope these key characters get the the dark continent. I wanna see how they psychologically handle the fact that the rivals they hate so much are nothing compared to the evil on the dark continent. E.g. Hisoka wants to kill Chrollo so bad, but he meets Meruem level creatures, I'm sure revenge will the last thing on his mind. Everyone will switch to survival mode.
That shift in story dynamic will be excellent.
