How cool of Kurt to talk about what it was like to be part of this film! There's more interview, right? Here in Brazil this film has become a classic! I watched this film in a movie theater!
This movie was, is, and will always be part of my youth. Where is RJ today?? and the rest of the cast (never could find the dad; he was in a lot of 80s videos)
I watched NRNS countless of times as a kid and I still have the very same VHS tape that back in the mid 80’s which is almost 40 years old by now. Loved this film!
Need to interview some of the fighters from the movie "Bloodfight" starring Bolo Yeung. This was considered by many to be the real sequel to Bloodsport.
There are random things I'll always remember about this movie. 1) The scream that Jason's dad makes when JCVD breaks his leg. It makes me laugh every time with how overblown it is. 🤣 2) Jason hip thrusting in the park workout with RJ sitting on his lap eating ice cream for some strange reason. 😆 3) JCVD saying, "I'm the best" over and over. 4) The song "Stand On Your Own" in the original VHS release being WAY better than the replacement song. 5) JCVD saying, "You're good." with Jason saying, "I get better." As well as Jason saying, "This time it'll be different Russian." with JCVD yelling out after. Honorable Mention : Scott the fat guy ordering like 20 burgers and saying, "Stick with me kids, and you'll never go hungry." As well as Jason kicking him over the table and saying, "Who's the lard ass?" 😆
Lol, I have that movie on DVD. Here one to add, the backflip kick the one he does on Vaddam's face lol more like a toe. I love the movie but I will say that scene was definitely done on a different day, if you pause just before he does the kick, and look at the background everyone in the audience is gone.
No way how cool is this that's Jason aka Kurt mckinny I love this film Peter Cunningham is that jcvd me my brother my cousin's grew up watching this i prefer the soundtrack stand on your own on the vhs version which I prefer to the dvd version the most famous line for me was it's that slimeball RJ
I’ve done the no retreat no surrender many times, by that I mean go to Bruce Lee’s gravesite and ask his spirit for guidance, many times, obviously the idea was inspired by the film , you can obviously guess I grew up in Seattle, the site is incredibly busy with tourists nowadays but there was a time where there was not that much traffic going there back in the day, like 2002, and a memorable time for me was I was massively depressed and lost and randomly showed up to this cemetery in the dumping rain and it happened to be where Bruce and Brandon were buried and I found the site and it was a very unique, spiritual experience standing there speaking to Bruce’s headstone in the pooring rain
I went to the theater to watch, solely because my kickboxing idol, Peter Sugarfoot Cunningham was in it. Noted karate author, Timothy Baker, was also in it.
Give us a heads up at the end of these clips, so I can let the closing ads run, I just assumed it was another midroll ad which I NEVER let run (nor does anyone else that I know) .
Hi david , i know its of the topic , but i heard there is an longer version of the movie kickboxer 2 where there is scene tong po is training for a rematch against kurt sloan ( van dammes character ) and also there is even a longer scene not only seeing directly the corps of kurt sloan but actually a second fight and it was so good that they had to cut it off because this fight scene was way more better than the end fight .. you can even see a little scene of it in kickboxer 4 where tong po ( michell quissi ) was spit on after his loss .. this was also an deleted scene actually from kickboxer 2 .. did you know about it ? And did you seen it ? Do you know where we can find it if it really excist ? Thanks
I've only watched this movie maybe 2x. I didn't see it until after I seen Bloodsport and a few other Van Damme movies. I hated seeing him play a bad guy. I think that's what I didn't like it at the time.
In that time i watch Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Jacky Chan ( and others from Hong Kong) movies 🎬🎥 the American martial arts movies are 👎 with a few good. Jean Claude van Damme his first few movies are 👎 and his last few are not beter. That will not say that i dont respect JCD but not my tast. Greetings from the Netherlands 🥋 OSU 🥋
One of the best martial arts movies and a big influence to the kids of 80s and 90s
This movie is pure gold, Mr Mckinney do a great job

It has inspired so many martial arts movies. And the title is still the best line for motivation.
The fight chronography in this film is still better than most of the trash you see in 99% of films today.
Hey David! I rewatched this classic just the other day. Very fresh in my memory. Hope you are doing great.

It was the worst ever 😂
This is so nice👌🏽, memory's when i was a little kid. I was crying when jcvd was finisht at the end of the movie😂. Thnx bro🙏🏽
The fighting-scenes were great in this movie, and the soundtrack was great as well.
Fortunate to catch in the theater. Pure 80s Gold

"One step sensei!"
I first saw this movie when I was 6. Being a young Bruce Lee fan I thought it was one of the coolest martial arts movies I had scene at the time.🙂

As an aspiring actor who has also worked a waiter job Kurt's words were nothing short of inspiring
Can You Some Videos On Sidekicks
Kurt is a 100% legitimate martial artist
I went to the theater to watch, solely because my kickboxing idol, Peter Sugarfoot Cunningham was in it. Noted karate author, Timothy Baker, was also in it.
Great story, I'll have to look for the film,
what is the rest of this story, is there going
to be part 2, 3?
Give us a heads up at the end of these
