Akai Force techno live set [Boris Brejcha vs. Stephan Bodzin style]

- This is my first techno jam with my new Akai Force. At first I took many ideas from Hobo's Boris Brejcha tutorial ( • How to Make Music Like... ), but after a while it morphs into my own style of ethereal and melodic techno. I recorded two additional synthesizers to spice up the melodic parts, the Korg minilogue and the Behringer Model D.
Enjoy and please like, share and subscribe!
Hello fellow Force users!
If you're interested in how I made this live set or you want to support my channel, you can download this Akai Force project on gumroad.

Nicely done, this is legit 👍
Hello, very good video you made. I would like to know I watch a lot of videos on this beautiful hardware and there are not many connection tutorials on the back of the force. I just acquired it. It feels very complicated to use. can you help me thanks
Amazing work, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Nice great mix, may the force be with you!
The force will be with us😄
@@wolfgang_grows hahaha
Very enjoyable. Even through the haze of medical duty I must perform. God help me. Hey you're pretty cool too!
Dude, killer... Im only scratched the surface of that thing I got recently. This rocks man!
Thanx man. Glad you dig it.

Killer track!!!!!
Sweet track. Gave me the inspiration to move to my Force to do some beats.
Great. Hope you are successful creating your own beats!
Nice..i love this Style 👌🎹🎧✌🍺
Glad you like it, cheers!
Great music! Thinking of to get this or maybe mpc live) Definitely like the dawless playing:)
NIce ! i will receive mine tomorrow !!!
Good for you. It took me two or three days to figure out the possibilities and work flow of the force. However, it's fun and you get to well-sounding results quite quickly after you've put some effort into this.
And I got mine today, watching the demos with a semi. Sorry bout that, I drive trucks
Bangin beat bro♥️
great machine! is like Ableton live without a computer
Similar and far easier to control during an electron storm.
bro would be awesome if you can make a tutorial on how to create a set from scratch and beats and tracks from A to Z
It's coming this Saturday!
So cool. I love the part starting 6:35 - 8:15 it gets really good
Thanks Zach😊
good stuff man. I just made my first live techno drop (nowhere near the quality of this) and it is so much harder than I expected. I'm using an apc 40 MKii
Top ! 👌

I give this tune 9 out of 10 stars. 9 because i was not there and prolly lost my day glow pacifier in the head.Blink. Blink.
😄
good 好想學習這台機器
Hey question. If I go online can I purchase sound packs and install them into the akai force? Like dubstep drum kits and all the heavy drum kits?
That's possible. You can install MPC sound packs or copy 3rd party sound packs on an sd card or ssd drive (in case you installed in the force) and use those samples.
@@wolfgang_grows awesome thank you for the reply!
Cause I'm noticing so far its mainly house techno that I've heard people create from the force. I wanna get some WUB WUB WUB WUB ACTION!!!
If you like harder and less melodic techno made with the force, check out episode 2 of my "techno from scratch in 15 min" series.
@@wolfgang_grows k I will!
Great track! I recently bought a Force, on the bottom end of the learning curve. Do you plan to do any tutorials?
Hey there,
Yes I plan to shoot some tutorials. Any wishes besides the typical "how to make a beat on the force" tutorial?
@@wolfgang_grows hey Wolfgang, I’d find it helpful if you covered how to the various synths, the AIR effects, using sends and returns, recording automation, etc. Broken in to many vids For ease of understanding and future reference. The manual falls far short in these areas, at least for me. You’re right, there are already some others out these demoing how a person made a particular song (although more of those can still be useful, since you can get various workflow ideas). Hopefully in high resolution so it’s easier to see the actual Force settings being discussed - some out there are too low Rez to help.
Brilliant! Very cool! The sounds come all out of the internal synths? Or do you use any audio files?
Thanks for your encouriging words. The only samples I use are drum and fx one shots from the forcre itself or native instruments maschine. 90% of the synths you hear in my videos are the stock synths that come with the force (mainly tube and hype). The other 10% are external synths like the minilogue or model d.
@@wolfgang_grows thanks for your answer, really impressing! I use the mc 707 as my centerpiece which has also lots of great internal sound processing, but it is not so versatile for creating larger sets. One more question: do you sequence all your drums on one channel? If so, is it possible to mute single drums out of it? And can you set different fx to single drumshots in one channel? Thanks and keep rocking 😎👍
@@MOONRIDER You can find all the answers to your questions in my force tutorial video😉.
Every pad can be muted and you can have up to 4 fxs on every pad. Then you get another 4 fxs for the group the pad is in. Additionally you can put 4 fxs on return channels, sub channels and the master channel. I also thought about buying the mc 707 but the small screen and certain other limitations were a deal-breaker for me.
@@wolfgang_grows oh cool I will watch it for shure! Sounds epic! The screen of the 707 is not as bad as it seems. More problematic is the few internal memorie inside of a project and the fact that you have to stop the sequencer to load a new one. Makes big live sets impossible. Otherwise, it would be the perfect maschine in my opinion. If you like, you can visit my channel to see me performing some tracks with it. 😉
@@MOONRIDER I'll check out your channel for sure👍
HEY MAN! how did you manage to map the knobs to your own chosen effects?
Hey there, first hold shift and press the "knobs" button to get to the page where you can assign every parameter of every instrument and effect to the knobs. After doing so press and hold the "knobs" button and select "project" from the screen. For further details read the manual.
How did you record it to upload this track with good quality? I got a force for myself but i am having problems to record it
Hey Simon, I use OBS as a free recording software and connect the two main outs in the back of the force with my 2i4 Scarlett Focusrite audio interface ins via trs cables. Hope this helps...
I am trying out many things. Maybe i will try obs too thanks for your help.
sick
does anybody else hear the phasing in the kick? sounds kind of awkward, is this how the mashine works or are the samples the reason?
Hey there, I used NI Maschine kick samples with a strong and clicky attack to make the kick cut through in case people are listening with speakers that can't provide much low end. Anyways, I can't hear any phasing of the kick, neither with my studio monitors nor with my studio headphones...
