In fact, the 11 selected are just the 11 players who will start in the match. During the game, Ego can make substitutions, so all players must continue training to have the opportunity to play. Fun fact: Aiku, captain of the Japan team (the one who held Shidou), has the same voice actor as Daichi from Haikyyu (both are captains).
Who is Itoshi Sae?? Ok time for some info : 1. He is Rins' older brother ( u know that ) 2. He is currently one of the World' next best 11 players , yes he is similar or more level tho the players isagi met in their match against world 5 3.He plays for spanish club real madrid ( here it is named as Royale ) which is one of the best if not the best teams in the world 4. So he is arguably the best overall player in japan and he plays as attacking midfielder not striker. 5.He is playing for Japan u 20 just to check out blue lock as he mentioned in season 1 that he will only olay for japan if there is a striker who is good enough to receive his passes. 6.This entire match is sold out and being focused on itoshi sae debut for Japan national team
He's part of the New Gen 11, which is the top U-20 players (he's probably not at the World 5 tier, especially since Luna is also on Real and is on the main team, unlike him)
@@Staynerin the egoist bilble which is a databook made by the mangaka it says that sae doesnt really know why rin is mad he thinks rin is going through a phase and is just unaware he cant even tell hes hurting his brother cus hes very ignorant.
I loved this episode/chapter for the inclusion of Gagamaru and Niko in the starting line ups. First, its the stage in Blue Lock becoming bigger than just finding the best Striker. Blue Lock is also being used to find the best players for all the other positions too. Ego, has been training his players to be as competitive as possible, and thus able to "play like a Striker" regardless of their position on the pitch. Gagamaru's playstyle up to this point has been indicative of this. Second, from all the known information, as well as clues from the background, we see that Niko finally made it to the starting line up, despite having arguably the most difficult Blue Lock journey. Starting from losing the first 2 games in a row in the first selection, dooming his team, and forcing him to survive by outscoring a team that would have stopped trying to win as a team, when his own skillset has been teamplay. Starting his scoring run from a deficit from trying to feed goals to Okawa. Then having to out-score Barou without relying on his team during their Y vs X match to survive. Losing his first 3v3 (based on Episode Nagi manga) after being targeted for being the weak link of his team, during the 2nd selection. Win the elimination 2v2 to survive. Then still survive all the way to the 5v5 despite being forced to lose at least one more time (he was separated, and not chosen after losing, based on Hiiragi clearing sooner). Seeing Niko survive had me relieved and hyped.
Btw coach, I just wanted to point out for future episodes, midfielders are basically the setters of football, they usually are really good at passing and have iq. The striker is more like the ace. Left backs and right backs or wingbacks are also defenders but have attacking responsibilities. Same with midfielders who play more deep.
I've hear rumors that some animators stated that they animated some scenes but then the directors said to replace the animation with still frames, Idk if it's true but it's still a very interesting rumor
Season 2 just have a incredible ending, can't wait for your reaction, all the budget saving is worth so much❤ as they released episode 37 and 38 on the same time,I wish you can reaction this two at the same video, it's definitely the hypest moment in the all Blue Lock, it's just like a movie playing on your phone or PC
Hey coach in the previous episode the point was made that Rin and Shidou are both very good players and are coming to the same conclusions via different methods and thought processes. But because of those competing processes they clash and can’t exist on the same field (which was expressed this episode). I was wondering if you had any thoughts on how to bring two players like this that are ultimately coming to a “correct” play via competing methods together and reconciling that into a team so they are working together as opposed to against each other. Obvious Shidou’s violent tendencies are an extreme example and may even make this process impossible but I was curious nonetheless.
Coach I remember I would hear interviews about many pro soccer players say they see it as a job. That just because we play together doesn't mean we are friends or close. They are just their to win and get better. What do you think about that aspect? Is fine to have a mentality like that, to just treat it as a job? And can you play good like that?
By itself the animation can pass if you don’t focus on it but i think the biggest difference is that other people waited 2 years for s2 which is 14 episodes and everyone was hoping they would come in with crazy animation off the bat but since you’re binge watching it you didn’t have to wait and build crazy expectations
To be fair, this season isn’t bad as people think. It’s not gonna win anime of the year but it’s still a blast. That finale tho may have won anime episode of the year. Peak lock

12:23 Kind of spoilery, but Itoshi Sae has no idea his brother is piss with him. And think he is just in an emo phase. 😂😂😂
What? He does
@charles_pensamentocritico no, he does not. He just thinks Rin is too cempetitive and wants to surpass him.

Coach you missed the post credit scene from the last ep 4 after the outro, there are sometimes more scenes left there😊
last episodes of the season came out and it was GREAT, you will see it soon. Hope season 3 comes out soon
Hopefully they take their time. I don’t mind waiting 2-3 years if we get the same level of animation we got in the finale
