Holy crap I didn't know you were from PA Im from PA as well. Im about a hour North of Harrisburg, PA. Near Penn Sttate. Since ylour from PA can I ask were you got Max ? Id like to get a bird of some sort but cant find anywhere around me to get one. Id like to rescue or adoptI dont wanna buy nbew independently I was to save one from capture or you know how it goes. Let me know brotha. Thanks man!!!!!
You can look up rescues online, then contact them about adoptions. Just be ready to be asked a lot of questions and to be thoroughly vetted by them. The last thing they want is for a bird to be adopted, then end up being surrendered. They will help you find a bird that you are a good fit for. All the best. ❤

I'm 50 and figure if I get a bird, it should hopefully outlast me that my great nephew can take over when I pass. I've been researching parrots for years now, through a couple online classes on how to handle, take care off, train etc. I'd love to get either an Indian Ringneck but not sure that's the right first type of bird to own but then again, I'm a quick learner and give everything 210%. then a Cockatoo or then an African Grey.
1:02 I swear though, several times a minute, all day, every day, I gotta hear some obnoxious jackbutt with a vehicle with a loud exhaust and/or boomy stereo (because one loud noise source isn't enough so let's have two). It really does get old. And I live in the middle of a residential neighborhood---not like I live on an arterial road. There were 3 just while pecking in this comment 🤦♂️🙉 I understand freedom of expression MURRICA yada yada, but most of these are doing this on purpose and there's no effective enforcement of it so it just gradually gets worse. Even 50-somethings are doing it...
