I was looking at the Royal Troon course and it is a real “Beast” waiting to devour anybody that messes up even a little bit. I think if Tiger makes the cut and plays the weekend, he should continue to play golf. If he doesn’t, then I think he should hang it up. I mean, how much better do you think you are going to get over time only playing majors? It’s clear that Tiger doesn’t have the same stamina he once had. Especially after his accident. He doesn’t look like he’s getting stronger or better as he continues to compete. You can tell how he walks the course. He starts out with a lot of pep in his step. Depending on how good he’s playing. But by the time he hits the 18th hole, he’s walking like Charles Barkley at a celebrity golf event. He still wants to catch Jack Nicklaus. I get it. But the way it’s going. It’ll be another 10+ years before he builds enough strength and stamina to win again. And no one wants to watch that struggle. People want to see Tiger win, not just just play.
Jack Nicklaus used to say he would retire if he felt he couldn't win anymore and which he did do in the end. Tiger is giving it all he has to stay competitive and I'm sure when it's clear to him he will go the same way as Jack Nicklaus.
its fair enough, Tiger is obviously a shadow of his former self but he's still as good or better than a few players in the field, we just got so used to him on the first page of every leaderboard its hard to accept less
I worked the Charles Schwab cup in phoenix last year….i was on one of the tee box…as a marshal!! Colin came up n was very chatted, smiling…next day I hear he was yelling n screaming at a patron on one of the holes. Was very bad. He has a brash personality, it spills over “ just the way he is” sad. I don’t disagree with Colin. Hard to watch TW, after couple of rounds he looks wore out, tried. It’s the norm now.
Yeah why can't Tiger just go out and play a game he loved all is life just go out and play n enjoy it without the I got to win additude just have fun I mean it's a wonderful Old golf Course come on guys your taking the fun out of a wonderful game I mean money ain't nothing
Monty was 100% correct….Tiger is right also if he qualifies to play….he can decide to play try to make the cut….idea that he is remotely competitive is delusional…time to move on from Tiger….let him play his video golf…
It’s been a shabby couple of years for tiger. His contribution is valueless. He has done nothing to bring golf together in this era of dual leagues. Instead he only cares about his money. His value dwindles as sponsors refuse to continue to overpay him. Having said this, tiger has every right to enjoy the exemptions he has earned for as long as he wishes.
@@maverick872 tiger is doing pretty well but is not ready to compete. He will likely play more next year, increasing his chances to be competitive when it matters.

Tiger is no longer competitive. He's taking a spot from somebody that could be competitive. I find it hard to see how he can make a cut.

He will never will anything again. His body cannot handle 4 straight days of golf. His own fault.
