Hope you guys like the video. I forgot to mention I buy the chips from UTSource. If you don't want to deal with them or buy from china for some reason you can find this IC inside of the corvette clusters it has 4 of them in it. I can also sell you the IC but it will be more than buying it from UTSource because I prefer not to be parts seller. I can also do this work for you. If you need to contact me my email is in the about section or you can just post in the facebook group linked in the description.

Hey I was wondering if you would know where to find a scan of the overlay for these 99-02 cluster so I csn try to make a 7k rpm overlay

Glad I found this video, I’ve got an 02 Escalade cluster and occasionally the trans temp gauge just stops working and pressing or pulling on the cluster in spots seems to fix the issue
I’ve also had the issue where the cluster acts like it restarts (I replaced the clip and that helped, that tab was broke) it would do that more in colder temps
But on the transmission gauge where would be a good spot to start looking? Such as solder joints
I ran around with the bezel off for a while and if I reached up behind the cluster just to the right of the speedometer with one finger and barely pulled towards me it would behave

@@FixedUntilBroken I am sorry for recomand you the extension module sow I put my friends of jbc to make some research for your station . I found out it is a JBC CD-D series and I descover your station is compatibile with C245 .

@@andreiciora2765 Its fine.thanks for looking into that. I didn't even think about the fact that the c245 might not work with the CD-1D so thanks for asking them. BTW my station has 395 working hours and 1604 sleep hours on it. 9201 Hibernation hours. I think the last owner never turned it off.

Too bad the Facebook group seems to want you to know answers to things you want to learn to join the group! Thanks for the video.

Answers are very easy to find on Google. It's to weed out all the spam bots on Facebook and to avoid members not willing to search for an answer

@@FixedUntilBroken Thanks for the reply. I understand your answer, but on your response to people not looking for answers, I spent over a month trying to get information on several cheap video cards trying to fix them and I could not find a schematic or anyone that would help find information even though I tried on several different sites. You have to know where to go and what to ask for and if you don't know you might never get any help. The video cards have been setting for 6 months now! I did get allowed access to the site shortly after I left the message for you. They seem to be more inclined to help hobbyists then most. Thanks again for your videos.

I guess the problem is that I don't seem to know quite how to go about doing the search to find what I need. Maybe someone might step up and do a video on how to properly do searches 👍👍👍👍. I can't be the only one having issues. Thanks for responding.

Video cards really aren't something I know about and the group is automotive electronics repair group. I'd suggest reddit r/electronics or a Facebook group about computer electronics for something like that

@@FixedUntilBroken Thanks. I have been interested in electronics for cars for ever. My point was just that I have never had any luck searching for help with Google and more or less I wish people would show how to find the information on the different repairs and projects they are working on would be great. I am sure many would like to know how to find it and follow along with you. Thanks for your time.
