Loved the video! specially the kids detail, without them it would be another boring assembly video on youtube. I had to assemble mine without my 3yo kid though.. He always wants to help and always breaks something
Hello thanks for this video. It has been quite helpful. I'm assembling the same sectional but I'm having a lot of trouble with the part where I connect the chaise and sofa arm together with the L brackets. No matter what I do, the holes don't align and I can't figure out how to use the clamp tool they provide. Do you have any advice?
@@chianunwa6846 you would have holes on one side and holes with bolt threads on the other side. I believe it was just to line up both sides, make sure there is t any bunched up fabric in between. Use the clamp to draw the two sides together and secure the bolts.
@@platinumdragon7 Is the clamp supposed to help align the bracket to the holes on the sofa arm? Or should everything already be aligned before I use the clamp? And should I make the clamp as tight as possible?
New subbie! I have a question ! I think you inadvertently answered it but…. I found a kivik for sale on Facebook but they have the sofa with both arms attached and the chaise with no arms in another corner , can I attach the chaise to the sofa by moving the arm to the chaise and connecting the chaise to the sofa? Maybe by purchasing some extra hard ware from ikea or finagling it together with clamps or L brackets ?
Not so good it could be just in an upper quality perhaps with a little amount of money more always poor and near to the edge IKEA APPEARS AS A MISERABLE COMPANY . THE THING IS WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY ITS SURE THAT THEY PROFIT A LOT FROM MASSIVE SALES ALL OVER THE WORLD . PLUS THAT THEY GIVE THE CUSTOMER THE RESPONSIBILITIES TO FINISH THE JOB . @@chianunwa6846 align before you clamp and get the clamp pretty tight.
Ok I figured it out, thank you!!
I love IKEA furniture. Always fun assembling it. Good luck with the channel.
Just finished one on my own easy couple hrs but sweating 😓 😅, 2 seater plus corner chaise, good price too 675
How the hell did you put the chaise' cover on?? Mine feels like is 10cm short and cannot make it fit!
A lot of pulling and stretching but we’ve done it many many times.
Thanks for the video. It looked like you had the arms on both sides of the two seater section? Also how is the sofa holding up?

There is a bracket it comes with to do that. I can post a photo of it sometime later this weekend. I just happen to be away this morning.
Thanks. Helped us out of a jam in a couple of places.
That's great to hear. have a great day.
the kids crack me up
Can the chaise be mounted on the other side as well?? Thank you very much!
Yes, the brackets can be positioned this way. We have moved it to the other side a few times
My Kivik will be delivered in three weeks. Nice to get a preview of what the assembly will be like.
How much time did the assembly take?
1 to 2 hours
Do the connections allow for the chase to not be added and just have the left arm attach to the second regular sized fission
Cushion
5:40 , 9:17 lmao wth
I know. we had to leave the funny parts in the make it interesting.
what about the washers buddy? forgot the washers
ninja turtle pajamas!
Wait, do you have to iron the fabric?
I don't think so, I wouldn't suggest it. The cushions stretch it too.
What color is that kivik? Dark grey or anthracite?
yes! please answer!!
Sorry, it's been so long but I'm sure it was hillared anthracite
@@platinumdragon7 thanks, I was gonna get the kivic but changed my mind gonna get the söderhamn, more modern look and bigger seating area.
We could've done without the little girl eating out of her nose.
You took the literal words out of my mouth.
Where can I get those ninja turtle bottoms????
Walmart, lol
It's faith😙😙😙😘😘

Perhaps because regular companies charge obscene ammounts of money for just about the same shit?
