Spin off on a spin off- I love it
It's not new show all in the family had a few spinoffs,, Happy days, ext, Georgie and Mandy, the 2 actors have incredible chemistry, you can't let that go, and Chuck Lorre, is a freaking genius producer,

This is just a desire to cash in on an intellectual property that is already a proven cash cow. It’s a financially sound move, not artistic genius. The fact that you called a television clown a genius and by name tells me you think waaaaaaaay to much about a situation comedy with a laugh track. It’s a sitcom and you’re commenting with the vigor of a religious fanatic. You’re legit crazy, get help. I’m just glad nobody brought up Perfect Strangers or My Two Dads, I’m sure you would have lost your shit.

Spinoffs aren't technically sequels because they diverge from the main story and usually feature mostly new characters.
I am hoping Sheldon’s comment on being married twice is just Georgie remarrying Mandy twice because Sheldon was wrong about his father so he could be wrong about Georgie

I remember either Missy or Mary on TBBT mentioned Georgie had something with a 'whore' and I don't think this was about Mandy
It doesn't matter because we have no idea how long he was married the first time. It could be years down the road or a short lived marriage. I guess it will depend on how well this show does in the ratings.
I'm so psyched they're not abandoning these Young Sheldon folks. I've adored Emily for years!
I hope it includes MeeMaw! She's my fave character.

Im excited but i wish it wasnt going to be in front of a live audience with the laughter and awkward pauses. I really loved the more natural pacing of YS

Oof that might turn me off to watching the show. I might've watched Young Sheldon but only seen a handful of episodes of the TBBT simply because I'm not a fan of laugh tracks.

I was just watching YS this past Thursday and thought to myself that these people are hilarious and it would be a waste to end all of their characters. I'm glad to hear about the spin-off.

Also, I hope to God we see Mary, Missy, Meemaw, and flashbacks of George as guests.
It was established on BBT that after Sheldon goes off to college Georgie had to be heavily involved with dealing with Mary who's an emotional wreck without her husband and Missy's problems after her father dies so we can definitely expect them and Meemaw to be regulars. I'm guessing Pastor Jeff's niece and Paige will be showing up on the new show as well being Missie's trouble making girlfriends probably good for a lot of story plots. I think its been pretty well established that Georgie has two ex-wives which makes sense statistically as two thirds of first marriages today end in divorce including most of my own close friends and relatives although I personally have been married to the same woman for over 30 years so far. I wouldn't expect George and Mandy's divorce to happen in the first season and of course they may get remarried, The fact that they have a daughter together means they're going to be involved with each other's lives forever whatever their current legal situation or personal relationship ups and downs may be.
I agree that Mandy and Georgie should get divorced and Married again. This makes me really excited for the new show
That’s my thought too! Maybe Mandy texted Sheldon twice since she is the first and second wife. The way Sheldon’s mind works it makes sense.
@@kimma508 It's comparable to the whole 3 knocks thing. The show can compromise by not tarnishing the lore established in TBBT and respecting it's characters
well first they need to get married the first time around which didnt happen yet and i dont think he is gonna marry mandy twice. I think mandy is the first wife and we know theres a second so hoping in some season of the spinoff maybe vernica comes back and shes the 2nd girl

Georgie is either the best actor in years, or he is a genuine down-to-earth guy.
I have never seen him in an interview when he was not super humble. Drive on Montana! It is rare to see actors that are truly nice and humble all the time. (Keanu Reeves is the only other one I could name off the top of my head)
Dude is from a tiny town in East Texas and doesn’t seem like a religious zealot, so he is the best us Texans have to offer.

Sheldon is only 14 in the last season of YS and was well into his 30s at the end of TBBT which leaves about a 20 year period leaving plenty of time for Georgie to have 2 ex wives.

That is totally SWEET!! I have been bummed out that "Young Sheildon" is the last season of it, this season, so I am truly EXTREMELY EXCITED for "George, and Mandy" spin off. AWESOME, can NOT wait for it to start!!
I can’t wait until this comes on. So excited to watch. I have watched all seasons of young sheldon at least ten times over and over again ver . Can’t get enough. It is so fun to watch. There all so funny. Just amazing comedy .

It’s honestly crazy how in real life how they really do have an 11year age group,
(Emily is 32, Montana is 21)
And it’s crazy how Emily was on Hannah Montana and now she’s MARRIED to MONTANA in young sheldon

One thing that they’re also restricted to is George Sr’s death and everything Georgie said happened after Sheldon left with Mary being unable to function and Missy going down a dark path with Georgie being the one taking care of things which concerns me about it being a multi came filmed in front of live audience cause that mainly happens with sitcoms which implies the spinoff is a sitcom, which concerns me cause what’s about to happen is a very serious thing
Perhaps this spinoff will solve that and show how Georgie helped the family
@@nav_2709 i definitely think it will although I do think they should retcon a few things from big bang theory cause it had alot of in the moment humor with Sheldon’s childhood and family that have been problematic for young Sheldon
it's going to go 3 years forward, Georgie inherits Mandy's dad's tire store and renames it Dr tire and the setting is going to be in Dallas, the very end of young Sheldon is going to be narrated they're not going to show George's death it's going to be narrated by Sheldon whith a few surprises at the end welcome back Big Bang Theory, oppps, spoil alert 😊😊

@adityapai5147 you can't have them live in Medford, because the audience or fans will ask where's mema, Missy, and mom, remember it's a spinoff, you remember BBT, Sheldon flew to Texas to ask Georgie to come to his wedding, that was in Dallas, in the sitcom business it's very difficult to have a baby on set, so here comes the 3 or 4 year old, wow some kid is going to be a millionaire, ha ha, also in young Sheldon Mandy's dad owns a tire store, so another words there setting things up for DR.Tire, ,so this is what I think Chuck Lorre is going to do, we'll find out here in few weeks, they probably shot the pilot already or is about to, , what's your take, ??

well technically if they aged them up , they could play their actual ages , 21 for Montana ( George ) and 32 for Emily (Mandy ) , as the show has them at an 11 year age gap as well , and whats to say Cece is their only child , they could have 3 babies by then Cece as a toddler and twin babies as well ( twins are in the family as Sheldon and Missy are twins )

I'm not sure how i feel about a live audience multi cam sitcom. Really enjoyed how YS was setup but i'm open to Georgie and Mandy coming back plus I heard Wil Sasso will be in it so that's a big plus

I'm not a big fan of spinoffs but this could work just as long as it's well written much like Young Sheldon was. Also I'm curious on how George manages to become a successful tire store chain owner; as well as his marraige, being a parent, and how he will cope with the death of his father, all while trying to keep his family together. I'm also guessing that Missy, Mary, and Mee Maw will be in the show as well. So it'll be interesting to see how their lives will pan out moving forward. Like I said, as long as it's well written it should be a great show.

Canonically, Georgie was already divorced FOUR times by the time BBT started. But I'd like to believe he and Mandy could have made it at least five years. On with the new series!

I fear this is going to be similar to what "Joey" was to Friends. I feel like Young Sheldon works because it didn't rely on the success of Big Bang Theory and actually created its own audience and it also didn't rely on Sheldon being the central character (despite its title).
This sequel seems dependent on the audience being really into the George/Mandy storyline independent of the other characters and though I think people are invested in George/Mandy - I'm not sure they're so invested that they hold it in much higher regard than the storylines affecting the other YS characters
Cannot WAIT for this spinoff to hit the airwaves.

They should have Georgie's mother, Meemaw and Missy in this as well. Perhaps not too much of a strong presence, but it'd be nice to see how Georgie handles the situation after their fathers passing and how much he helped out the family.
Is sure Veronica is involved somewhere. They even mentioned her in the last episode
I suspect CC will be a Gifted Child just like Sheldon. 😊 So, they'll age her up quickly.
This will add a LOT to potential plots. 😊 It also makes Georgie's character more like George Sr. in that they BOTH have to deal with a Gifted Child.

I’m kinda confused… So, is this just basically season five of Young Sheldon minus George and Sheldon? Because all the other characters are still play a role if we’re given to understand that Georgie takes care of the family after Sheldon goes off to college.
Hey btw on the theory that Georgie gets re married to many that isn’t possible. Sheldon said wife’s in TBBT and that would be referring to Mandy as 2 people. So it is not possible that they stay married

Have a Uncle who was married 7 times, 3 times to 1 Aunt, she went heaven recently, 2 times to second Aunt she is with the angels too, once to third Aunt, one Aunt I never met. they married before I was born. I have a male cousin(she is his mom) that is 4 yrs older & same age as my brother.
I'm sure history repeats! Funny thing about life. It's easy to find examples for character expansions.
I wanted the spin off to follow Sheldon to college and see his adventures in California.

wouldn't it be fun if they gave it a This Is Us twist, we saw an early 50's Georgie and an early to mid 60 something Mandy in 2024. Maybe there could be clips of them getting together for Cece getting married or CeCe giving birth. Cece would be about 30 in 2024. Meg Ryan would make a good 2024 Mandy. Lol they could even have her narrating, looking back and telling Cece the story of how she got with Georgie. A "How I Met Your Mother" type format too but with more flashbacks and in today's time like This Is Us did. Didn't they say Georgie was married like 4 times. We need to meet all his wives.

I like these two as supporting cast members, but I’m not so sure they’ll workout as the main cast. We’ll just have to wait for the new show and the ratings that’ll come with it.

I hope it’s the same format as Young Sheldon, I don’t really want to see the same style as the Big Bang theory. I feel like for YS, it was very naturally paced due to the way there was no audience, and it should be kept for this spinoff. Turning it into a live audience type of show is not gonna really be the same, imo.
Georgia has the same accent in and off screen!
