Thanks for this interview. I really appreciate this! He was my idol when I was 16 in the summer of 95 when his debut album dropped! Da miilkrate is a top 10 all time album for me to this day! If you weren’t in the building then, you wouldn’t understand. Salute!!
Miilk is indeed a legend! "Da' Miilkrate" is one of my favorite all time albums. That album STAYED playing in my car in my high school days. So many tight tracks on it. I feel like he probably wasn't promoted properly and/or slept on by most heads. Very talented MC. Thank you for this interview. It's cool to see what's poppin with an old school favorite!
I always loved the way he danced and flow on that video. I remember listening to his album as a young teen back in the late 90s/very early 2000s, and back then, being portuguese, I couldn´t understand a word. We didn´t really know he was white either, it was a recorded tape, and withou internet, there really wasn´t much info about him around here. Then years later with the youtube I found out the video and was like "damm that old song we used to listen as kids".
Awe. Time is seriously beautiful and scary at the same time. I watch and hear him speak and it feels like it's the same old Miiikbone from 94', yet the body has changed so much and it's representing itself based off how the mind perceives. I hope he is doing well
Miilkbone dropped a classic and had backing. My theory why he didn’t get the major respect he deserved is the timing, because what happened was you had vanilla ice not to far prior that sucked so bad that it was hard to be taken seriously, even though he had all that respect and backing from Nas and all them
I wonder how much more of an impact Miilk would have had if the resources a lot of artists have nowadays (UA-cam, SoundCloud) were available to him. Especially that indie shit pops off like wildfire. Another great show!
@@BobbyCrillz365 I know his wife, and I have to see him post pictures of himself in bras and stuff on Facebook all the time, and not a week goes by where he doesn't post some lie about himself. I just hate people that are so insecure they have to lie about their failure instead of accepting it. It's annoying.
I’d had the pleasure to watch this seed be planted ( pen to notebook) as young bucks - and the work grit and determination this man has goes underated - that’s fine , you keep giving him fuel … you gotta get up early in the morning to out verse this dude
See most commenting are probably 2000 kids ...the 90s was raw as fuck...im white myself...and from the uk ...but honestly dont know how deep hip hop over here is...personally i was 15 in 94 and believe me the amount of albums that dropped was unreal ....there is so many mcs that have been forgotten its unreal ...miilkbone was to me the next everlast ...forget eminem ...wasnt even around then ...peace to all the 90s hip hop veterans and headz that remember 💙🤍
Miilkbones only known because people freestyled over his beat & forgot about him lol. all of his albums were crazy flops. idk why he thinks eminem even knows who he is
You literally have no idea what you are talking about Sir. Unless you where there , the shows, the nation wide tour, the radio show interviews, the studio sessions at Death Row Records the fact that when Milk approached Em to have a battle at the tunnel and he declined telling him that he was a fan of his music. Again you have no idea what you are talking about.
@@xydistic1256 Again you have no idea what you are talking about. Everyone had to pay for their album to get played on legacy radio before social media. Did Milkbones album go platmu or gold no it did not. But he made such an underground buzz that's why Nas, ONYX and several others showed up for his video shoot. That's why even during the east coast vs west coast beef we got nothing but love when we toured in Cali. That's why Snoop Dog affiliates the Dog Pound cut a record with Miilkbone that you can listen to on UA-cam called "EVIL MEN" track was a banger but Suge Knight wanted Capital Records to pay too much to release it. But Deathrow was well aware, chilled and recorded with Miilkbone. I know this because I was there. I was there at the Tunnel when Mobb Depp approached MB and told him to keep doing what he was doing. And opening for Biggie in 95 in North Carolina where the crowd that was clearly there for Biggie showed us mad love. Again I know this because I was there.... And you where not..
Miilkbone deserves more respect and recognition 🫡💯
