I knew the unnie line from smrookies and were anticipating their debut but 2014 was a really hard time for me as an exo, f(x), and snsd stan that I had doubts in staying as a kpop fan. Their debut was rushed and fandoms and netizens were very harsh on them but I adored them so I stayed. I wish they were treated better but I'm so proud of them for earning people's love and respect as a group and as individuals. I'm in this reveluv sht for life 😁
Whatever anyone may say, their Journey was one of The most hardest ones from the idol groups I've seen (even until 2021) !! They had to endure all kinds of reactions and non-popularity phase but they came out shining in just 2 years and have slayed K-pop with their Versatility in their music, tremendous Vocal ability, excellent performance skills, off-stage beagle energy and the crackhead humour :)

I became a fan during the Dumb Dumb era, so this video is the golden years for me. I was into so many groups around this time. I first got into kpop in Jan 2014 and was mostly into Boy groups, but I discovered Twice, Girls Generation, Red Velvet, and other girl groups, but Red Velvet has always been the most special of them all. It's been an amazing 6 years with them and I'm hoping for many more years with them! My girls 💖💛💎💚💜

Somehow I hadn't watched this originally but have watched your videos over the last few years. Thank you for making a video that contrasted the hardship with their success - I hadn't seen a number of the interviews here before. Their courage and work ethic despite these hard times is really admirable but I do wonder what cost to their happiness they have paid to give us such good music. Especially seeing Irene who had no outlet unburden her worries, was particularly hard to watch.

Damn, it's always hard always seeing those bashful and judging comments at their Debut and also when Yeri was added to the group. I can't imagine how ReVeluvs must've felt back then to know that they must've felt higher responsibility to shield them from those people
this is make me tearing up, i was being a reveluv since 2016 and that day they deserve better recognition from people. Untill now, red velvet remains a hardship girls group even they hated. :'(
Even though I came into the fandom late(bad boy era i think and I regret joining so late) I will be with red velvet to the end. My ult group in K-pop. Outstanding vocals, visuals, and so much more! What makes me love them even more and admire them is how much they struggled in they debut days, so much hate, yet they never gave up, and became the nations pride. Even billboard(I think) said that red velvet is the best idol group alive. Especially Irene, my bias, I admire her the most. She never shares her struggles on camera, because she might get hated, and takes duty as a leader very seriously. Collecting members passports in the airport so they will not be lost, and so much more. It is sad that people hate her due to one mistake and does not recognise the 100000000 good things she has done. She cares for her members, staff, fans and managers. Even when the scandal broke out, 2-5 staff members came out to defend her and said how caring, kind she is to them and if I don’t remember wrongly, the staff even called her “sister” she even gave each the backup dancers for her sub unit(Seulrene) AirPods, which cost ALOT. she even bought food for nct members when they are so busy with their promotion. She is truly the woman of this generations and has a heart made of pure gold.

I first got into kpop in Jan 2014 and was mostly into Boy groups, but I discovered Twice, Girls Generation, Red Velvet, and other girl groups, but Red Velvet has always been the most special of them all. It's been an amazing 6 years with them and I'm hoping for many more years with them! My girls 💖💛💎💚💜

Somehow I hadn't watched this originally but have watched your videos over the last few years. Thank you for making a video that contrasted the hardship with their success - I hadn't seen a number of the interviews here before. Their courage and work ethic despite these hard times is really admirable but I do wonder what cost to their happiness they have paid to give us such good music. Especially seeing Irene who had no outlet unburden her worries, was particularly hard to watch.

I Love RED VELVET
Even though I came into the fandom late(bad boy era i think and I regret joining so late) I will be with red velvet to the end. My ult group in K-pop. Outstanding vocals, visuals, and so much more! What makes me love them even more and admire them is how much they struggled in they debut days, so much hate, yet they never gave up, and became the nations pride. Even billboard(I think) said that red velvet is the best idol group alive.
Especially Irene, my bias, I admire her the most. She never shares her struggles on camera, because she might get hated, and takes duty as a leader very seriously. Collecting members passports in the airport so they will not be lost, and so much more. It is sad that people hate her due to one mistake and does not recognise the 100000000 good things she has done. She cares for her members, staff, fans and managers. Even when the scandal broke out, 2-5 staff members came out to defend her and said how caring, kind she is to them and if I don’t remember wrongly, the staff even called her “sister” she even gave each the backup dancers for her sub unit(Seulrene) AirPods, which cost ALOT. she even bought food for nct members when they are so busy with their promotion. She is truly the woman of this generations and has a heart made of pure gold.

i agree with a lot of the comments. theirs are a group built on perseverance and beating all odds. sure some will say they were able to make it because theyre from one of the big 3 BUT it also brings in a lot more attention and hate. and they survived. and theyre still thriving. thanks for making this vid. cheers!
