Many times we the people depend too much on governments all the time we sometimes can help clean up in front of our homes drainage and curves and channel when we can so the roads can lost longer
Klarity i am here watching frim canada and i am just plain angry at what i am seeing with all these pot holes all along this newly paved roadway....i really dont think this occurs anywhere else on the planet...not in africa not even in the small caribbean countries....they really take jamaica for a joke ..but if the people with the means dont demand value for money and inconvenience then the saga will continue...
Do they use marl for road construction and get category 4 & 5 hurricanes where you live in Canada? Also, I heard some places in Canada only have two seasons: winter and road repair/road construction season.😂😂😂
@@MutuharadamdanSugmuthsanda-l1x so i guess jamaica is the only place on th⁷e planet where roads are constructed on marl/limestone...i dont think so...i have seen roads all over the world including other countries in the caribbean where roads are also constructed on marl and i dont see brand new roadways falling apart 2 months after they are built....its people like you why jamaicans dont get value for the tax they pay ...and please understand that any road being repaired in canada is being done after 20yrs of being last resurfaced and thats in a country with very harsh winters that produce temperatures so cold and harsh that the roads crack up....stop making excuses bro...
Heads should roll, who authorized the faulty material in the first place? Wasn't NWA supervising the project? How could that pass? Unless they did nothing (obviously) ALCAR work was very poor, all of what they did and didn't do needs attention all the way up to Font Hill bridge. Jamaica Observer May 13, 2023 CHIEF executive officer of the National Works Agency (NWA) EG Hunter has sought to clarify recent reports that China Harbour Engineering (CHEC) is taking over some of the projects on the Southern Coastal Highway Improvement Project (SCHIP), pointing out that the Government’s contract is with the company, not subcontractors. "Anytime a main contractor engages a subcontractor, the contract is specific that the main contractor is, and at all times remains, responsible for the actions of the subcontractor. In fact, the main contractor gets a markup on what the subcontractor gets, and that markup is to make sure that the subcontractor delivers,” He said a lot has been made of CHEC intervening and taking over some aspects of the work but it is the main contractor which the NWA and the Government - as the owner of the contract - hold accountable, not the subcontractors. “We can’t intervene in the relationship between the main contractor and the subcontractor because the Government doesn’t have a contract with the subcontractors,”
This is terrible , i am from seaforth , this is terrible, road improvement it is not even a year old , not blaming the govt , but im blaming the engineers and contractors.
Road will mash up in a year watch..these contractors are foolish JA has a lot of rain and I cnt see any drainage! What’s wrong with these ignorant leaders. If you’re going to do something just do it right. I live in UK 🇬🇧 and every road has a drain every 15m or so on each side..I’m not a road expert however I’m in construction 🚧 pay me lest and I could definitely manage these projects better!
Because I was on my work doing what I leave out to do and not to take up anyone. If you going out with your family would you stop to give a stranger a lift?

I really think the government/ NWA should mandate that this section from morant Bay to Seaforth get a second layer of asphalt
