Just discovered you guys, awesome music. Did you find this piece difficult, especially since it's seemingly written in one of the rarest time signatures (11/8) ever seen? Or did you guys break it down into smaller, easier portions?
Oh, very much so! Hey, let's resurrect this 7 year old comment, shall we? I'm Mustin. I co-founded the band and played bass on this tune. The drummer, Jared, and I spent a month working on this tune by ourselves in the garage while one of our guitar players was in Chile. It took us so long to get the hits and the groove. But we finally locked in and we were nailing it every time. It felt so good. Then we brought in the rest of the kids and it got pretty rocky again, but since our foundation was strong, we were able to build up fast. So glad we spent that cold, cold December in the garage working this out so we could lift up the others when they were ready.
Hey Guys! FYI, your itunes version of this song has a grammar error. The "II" is written like this: "Ii" Just wanted to let you guys know. Edit: I just realized that two other tracks in this album have a similar mistake. Did you guys do that on purpose? Is there some inside joke I'm missing?
If you're saying they're named this way on stores, that would be the fault of the aggregator TuneCore and their insane rules about capitalization. Not our fault, we certainly know better.
@@TheOneUps I figured you guys knew better, but we all fat-finger the keyboard sometimes. When I saw that multiple instances were written like that, I thought I was the one who didn't get something. You're probably write that the platform is just being stupid.
All these years later, here I am listening to this banger. Well done.
