- On the night of 14th and 15th of April, 2014, Boko Haram changed the course of history, with the abduction of 276 students in Chibok, Borno State. Ten years after the abduction from the Government Girls' Secondary School, Chibok, a report reveals that 21 of the released girls came back with 34 children. According to the report released by the Murtala Muhammed Foundation to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the abduction, the report served as a devastating confirmation of the sexual violence and forced marriages the girls were subjected to in captivity. The report also shows that 48 parents of the abducted victims died due to trauma.
