There was a cheat in this game that every time when I was about to lose the race, just hit alt + f4 shut down the game then when you got back, you was at the last game saved...

It's one way to cheat, but the game actually has a cheat code (well... kinda)
During the race, press tab, and then press pgup and pgdn simultaneously. It will win the race for you.
The cheat has been originally discovered by polish Overspeed youtuber VMAJSTER.
