I'm not Asian I'm Mexican. And this was 55 years ago when that happened. Needless to say I looked a little different back then. These days people tell me that I don't even look Mexican. Go figure.
Good as always... Note...Filipinos ARE Asians...Philippines is in southeast Asia...they speak spanish and may have spanish last names beacuase of having a little bit of spanish blood...
Actually they have Spanish sounding names and ans speak mainly tagalog (which is derivative of spanish and older local languages).... because the Phillipines was a Spanish colony for hundreds of years before the USA took it away from them in the late 1890s during the Spanish-American War. (They are now their own sovereign nation though.) But also some Spanish blood in the mix... but thats a bit like saying some black people have white people last names because there's European blood in the mix... There is a Phillipino family (sisters and a couple cousins) that work where i do. The Spanish last name definitely confused me at first lol.
Before Spanish conquest, Filipinos did not tend to use surnames. They were identified by their first name and then their village name or their title if they had one. The Spanish found lack of surnames problematic so they forced the Filipino people to take on Spanish surnames, chosen from an approved list, with the exception being families of the aristocracy or nobility. I am of Filipino descent on my mother's side and every one of her relatives has Spanish names.
@@kylesuperbaby9616you one of those people who are ashamed to be Asian?!!! Philipino are Asian!! Just because they’re from the islands doesn’t make them islanders. SMH.. Japan is an island and they’re not islanders, Malaysia, Indonesia etc… they’re not islanders. Go educate yourself about this and stop being ignorant about it!!
He ain’t wrong about Vietnamese people. My dad was Vietnamese and I grew up around Vietnamese people, and they do put a period after every word, and they talk fast.
I went to watch Kevin Hart... then the year after I saw Joe... I can tell you Joe is way funnier. You should watch the one where he talks about sleep apnea.
🇵🇭 Agree with you 100%. I'm not Bias. I'm 56 yrs old, I've watched so many comediannes, Chris Rock, Kevin, even Dave Chap, well, I laughed too but Not as enjoyable as with Jokoy. Also, Jokoy sings very good and dances very good too! People who went to see his shows are Treated to a total package. There's a Bit of singing plus guests, and the funny part is when he interacts with any audience. He'd drink beer from your cup, he'd exchange his jacket for your shirt .. he'd converse with any audience and it always ends up Hilarious.
That is so true about Vietnamese. Being around Vietnamese people. That is exactly how they speak. My Vietnamese Father was tall (6'2"). My Vietnamese uncle was ready at a moments notice if someone wanted to fight him. He kept a baseball bat in his car.
I know he ain’t lying about growing up with a Korean friend… it’s in our culture to ask a guest not how you doing but have you eaten yet? Are you hungry?
Ha! That's actually most Asian cultures, I think. Every time I visited Filipino households growing up, the mom or dad would ask us if we'd eaten no matter what time we came. I noticed later that a lot of Korean and Vietnamese households did the same thing. Even some Italian households do that. ;)

🇵🇭 If you'll visit the Philippines, so many places here Still with the Spanish Era Touch. Houses, Brick Buildings, Brick roads, even the names of those Old Buildings are maintaned. Example is the Intramuros area.... There's a City Law i believe that that place has to preserve whatever Spanish touch were still left. There's also the Fort Santiago built by the Spaniards .. I live at Calamba Laguna (hometown of Philippine national Hero Jose Rizal), tourists flock to Rizal's home ... And you'll still see Spanish houses, pictures, bricks ... The touch man..
Philippines used too belong to SPAIN then SPAIN lost to USA spaniard American War and usa gain control of Philippines before the Philippines gain their independence so that why many look latinos and their spanish names and last names some Philippines speak both languages English and Spanish
🇵🇭 I've got this special Comin in HOt from Hawaii. It's really a Must Have and See! Im just sad that I get it to watch on my pitiful 19" pc screen. If it's my old Flat 50" tv, id be really happy!!! Jo is better to watch in a Big Flat tv + Home theater audio. You can really hear the laughter.
Philippines became a Spanish colony for almost 400 years. Back in 1849 a decree was passed by a Spanish Governor for natives to adopt a Spanish surnames; many did but some were able to keep their original family names.
I grew up in Phoenix,Az and have a lot of Mexican friends being so close to Mexico. I can understand and speak Spanish enough to have a conversation with Mexicans. I have a really good friend who was born and raised in Miami and he is Cuban. Even though it’s the same language,it’s not lol. Cubans speak so fast compared to Mexicans. Like super fast. Like a cheetah on cocaine lol. Everything is followed by the word “WAY”. LMFAO.
It is not because they got that Spanish up in them. I’m at one minute and 27 seconds. It is because Spain, I wouldn’t say conquered the Philippines, but they landed there! I saw this Filipino girl had my maiden name tattooed on her arm. I’m Puerto Rican And Puerto Ricans are Spanish native American and black. I said, oh, you, Puerto Rican, she said no in Filipino. I said, but that’s a Spanish last name on your arm. She goes down my dad was that name. That’s when she explained to me how the Spaniards came to Filipino and stayed. Kind of like what they did to the Puerto Ricans . Now Mexicans native American, and Spanish. Just because they’re from Mexico does not mean that is their race. That is the name of the country. Which, as you can tell is Hispanic. Mexicans are not an original race. Puerto Ricans are not an original race. Dominicans and Cubans are not in original race. We have all integrated, either by Hispanic, Indian, and black. so now you learn the history lesson. So the next time you go look at a job application and they ask what is your ethnicity? What is your race? Puerto Ricans and Mexicans have an ethnicity. White, black, native American, Samoans, Chinese, etc. are a race. even Brazilians from Brazil are Hispanic.
Yo, a latin big 4 without Spaniards is bananas😅. Also, that pronunciation made Viet sound like a verb, "Viet my knees again, it's gone be a problem". Hope y'all channel continues to bubble✊🏾

I don't know who came up with this concept for a joke first between Gabriel Iglesias and Jo Koy, but this is what I consider great joke copying. I don't see this as joke stealing, because each comedian tells the joke from a perspective that's relevant to them, as well as being two different groups of people.
Try'na hear this video I'm watching for how Asians speak and sound uniquely, but reactor dude won't stop screaming: "Mexicans! Mexicans! Mexicans!" He ruined it.
Gabriel Iglesias does the thing about Spanish speaking people and how fast they talk I agree with him 100% Spanish woman talks three times faster than guy knows and guy what did you say
I love hanging out with different cultures at their spots. That is some fun stuff !!!!! They get wild when they are comfortable. My white friends are boring as hell and quiet even when at a party.
I am Mexican, and back in the day when I was stationed in Vietnam, the Vietnamese all told me that I looked like a big Vietnamese.
😁
Exactly ❤❤❤

You're going to love Filipe Esparza if you haven't reacted to his stand up already.
Dude is a hack
Gabriel Iglesias has a hilarious bit about telling Latinos apart by the way they speak Spanish. 😂
There really are distinct differences between those on the eastern slopes of the Urals, the Bedouins of Arabia and the Samurai of Japan.
Check out Gabriel Iglasies "How to tell Latin's apart".
Gabriel copied how to tell Hispanics apart from this bit.🤣
