- We had a big surprise in the aviary. We managed to breed a new species. Is it the Chestnut-breasted mannikins, or the African silverbills? Let's find out what happened.

My aviary bird collection: Gouldian finches, Owl finches, Parrot finches, Chestnut-breasted manikin, Society finches, Aymara parakeets, Budgies and Button quails - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
Have you ever seen one species dropping eggs in all the nest? Let me know!
Yes, my gouldian finches are broody and are incubating eggs. Cant wait! 😊
@@Birdion-du6kv hope they will hatch
I’ve been keeping chestnut breasted mannikins for years now, and never had a single chick - fingers crossed you crack the code! Love your videos
Thank you, yes I hope one day I will succeed
Hi mate ! since I saw the little chicks I realized that they are silverbill chicks. they are black and totally different from Australian finch chicks 😁. Last year I also reproduced silverbills and the chicks look like the other African ones that I reproduced (amadina fasciata and erytrocephala) Wish you all the best! 👍👍👍
Thank you, hopefully next time I will also notice it quicker
Love your videos! Keep up the good work ❤
Thanks for the support
Aloha From Hawaii 🌺
Congratulations on your new babies!
I hope i get a chance to find African Silverbills in Hawaii too!
Thank you, here in Europe they are very common.
What is that candling light you use??
When is ur new video coming out?
working on a longer video at the moment. Try to keep posting shorts regularly.
Ok thx. My gouldian finches are finally breeding
hello mr aviary, may i ask you where you are located? I´ve just put my finches outside in there aviary, but for a long time i´ve been looking for a female to my tri-colored parrot finch but with no luck. I live in Denmark and it seems close to impossible to find anyone who keeps them here.
lovely day to you my friend.
I'm from the Netherlands. Here it's with ups and downs. sometimes it is relatively easy to find them and then for years, it looks impossible. The same is true for cordon blues. I am looking for a pair for over a year now. Hope you find one soon.
Sadly my bird eggs are infertile. Same as three yrs. Good luck on chick
Sorry to hear that
You have great videos. I'm following you from Lebanon🇱🇧. Do you have a Java Finch?
Thank you very much. They are on my list but still not sure. So many nice birds I want to have 🤣
@@MrAviary In my area, birds are not very common, so I find it difficult to obtain various species. I have a pair of Java Fenech, but they do not lay eggs. They made a nest, but it is empty.
@@khalilhaidar3056 Ok, hope you find some nice birds. just keep trying with your java finches.
Great.
Thank you
I want start making my aviary its will be 3.5 m x 6m how many species I should put please
Depends on the species but for the finches you can easily house 15 couples. Be aware of the more aggressive finches they need more space.
Hi bro, how long does a button quail chick need to be under heat-lamp after hatching? Im in Singapore (consider hot region 😅) Kindly, please advise...Thank you🙏🏻
It depends indeed on the weather. But, for the first two weeks, I would keep a heat lamp in the corner of their enclosure. Then you can see for yourself if they keep using it.
Thank you for your kind reply🙏🏻❤. Can i just place "5V heat-pad in a corner of the brooder without heat-lamp for 1 week old chick?
@@sristy1989 I don't know never tried that
where the new species?
A didn't bred Silverbills in this aviary before
