It's the policing how people speak. I won't be fake- yes tone does matter. However, if Snoop said the exact same thing in a 'nicer' tone, it won't change what he's saying.
Like, Snoop had been in the game how long? And he has to 'watch his tone' as someone might be upset by it, regardless of what he says? We can call each other the n-word, b!tches and h0es, but we gotta watch our tone when speaking about Eminem because he might be upset about it, when he didn't care upsetting other legends in the culture?

@@Logan-sk7ld (Warning this is long lmao) Ok subjective probably wasn’t the right world I’ll say that much I meant skill can be viewed differently depending on the person because if Person A thinks good flow has more validity and requieres more skill compared to lyricism then they may praise someone such as Notorious B.I.G over Joyner Lucas (not saying this is me or you btw just an easy example) as for songs that are unique in lyrical technicality just off his newest album alone MTBMB (side a) there are two songs with the same concept but are executed differently Darkness where the first two and a portion of the third verses are all completely a double entendre about the tragic Las Vegas shooting and anxiety when he performs at concerts as well as the song Never Love Again where the entirety of the song is a double entendre about on of his ex’s (likely Kim never explicitly said tho) and his former drug abuse. Also I did look up to see if anyone has done something similar couldn’t personally find anything tho. I’ve listened to some of the songs you mentioned already and agree undoubtedly amazing talent was put into those songs will have to check out the rest I’m sure they are great tho. As for triple entendres hears one from infinite that I remember gave me a good laugh (infinite is em’s first studio album before the sslp for those who don’t know) “Cause you can be quick jump the candlestick and burn your back but fuck Jill on a Hill, but you still ain’t Jack.” In terms of story complexity idk what exactly you mean (as in lyrical complexity or attention to detail of the story or both) so I cannot say anything of that yet. When it comes to multi syllable rhyming if you want to see Eminem at his top the song “Right For Me” is packed almost entirely with them but his average songs he puts out still have multiple layers of rhyme schemes and after typing this I’ll go see the colored rhyme schemes of both Big Pun and Az to get a more in detailed comparison. I personally see fast rap as extra credit in a sense not being able to rap fast imo dos t necessarily make you worse but if you can pull it off it makes you better ik Eminem isn’t top ten in fast rap anyone who believes that needs to do a bit more research but to his credit he is fairly fast and as of now only getting faster and on top of that when he speaks the words come out clearly (not saying those who are faster then him don’t speak clearly but there are a few). Now I’m not sure what exactly your standers are for albums to be considered “amongst the best of all time” but I’ve constantly heard the mmlp tes and even sslp all argued as rap classics/essentials and although we would have to wait for the future MTBMB might also be considered as a modern classic since its, imo, his best in a while. Rap was founded about talking through struggles in life so ofc Eminem is going to have songs about his many struggles I was referring to execution on these themes in different albums when he talks about similar stuff he adds a twist to it. As for revival everyone has their own opinion but he did what the people wanted then it got criticized before it even released cause people didn’t like the track list then when they say “we want old shady back” he again try’s to give the people that and then get criticized again for it. And to be honest we all have our own opinions and that’s fine if you don’t agree that Eminem is a contender for the top spot now ima go to bed it’s late lol.

ik this is kinda late but I realized in one of my earlier comments I mentioned the album “Infinite” had a Triple entendre which it did but that didn’t mean his old songs only have triple entendres he also have them in albums as recent as “Music to Be Murdered By Side A” such as “Ain’t shit I won’t do just to get a few UA-cam views Run up in a church like pew, pew, pew” pew pew pew as in the noise a gun makes pew pew pew as in church pews (the long bench things all churches have) and pew pew pew as in when that church shooter had said subscribe to pewdiepie

Snoop said something about earning his stripes. Em didn't earn his stripes??
What like hooking up with Dre straight out of school and making a very high budget album produced by a hip hop legend when lyrically you have broken nursery rhymes and lifts from past artists like "Lodi Dodi".
Em earned his stripes more than Snoop did. Snoop got it easy and his rhyme schemes show that. He's no Nas or Canibus.
