Thanks Dr, to shade more light on the "catastrophic implosion" Pressure in liquids increases with the depth, at such a depth, the pressure of water might have been extremely high, that it pushed the air molecules inside the vessel, into close proximity, making it find a way of escaping from the vessel at a gigantic speed, causing an explosion, in what we term as an "adiabatic change"
