9 - Vast in de sneeuw?!

In deze vlog brengt Richard een lading voeraardappelen naar een veehouder. Bij het rijden over het terrein van een veehouder, zijn er wel wat zaken waar je op moet letten. De terreinen zijn vaak wat krapper en vragen wat meer manoeuvreer-skills. Daarnaast is het belangrijk om rekening te houden met de dieren. Koeien schrikken bijvoorbeeld snel en raken dan in paniek. Dat willen we natuurlijk voorkomen.
Natuurlijk kreeg Richard ook te maken met het winterse weer van begin februari. In deze vlog legt hij uit hoe je het als chauffeur warm kunt houden in de cabine.

Op een heel ander kanaal kwam ik ineens een bekende stem tegen. Grappig om te zien dat je naast het chauffeurswerk als hobby graag (moes)tuiniert. Is niet een gangbare hobby onder chauffeurs denk ik, maar leuk om te zien. Succes!

I cannot follow this video, I left Holland 65 years ago, the island of Texel north of Den Helder, where a few farmers had some sheep. But now I see those large semi-trailers, where do they go ?? It would cost a lot of money to ship them to the mainland.

Hi Albert,
Our company is called AB Texel Group and our head office is indeed also located on the island of Texel. But our trucks drive through large parts of Europe, not just on the island of Texel. We have offices and truck parking spaces at several locations in the Netherlands. The locations you see in our videos can therefore be located throughout the Netherlands and even (in some cases) throughout Europe. The island of Texel itself can only be reached by a ferry that sails several times a day. Trucks can also cross to the mainland via the ferry. But our trucks often do not drive to / from Texel, so they do not have to cross the water.
Hopefully this will make it a bit clearer.
