Didn't have the right tool @ 5:25 but was 3/4 of the way disassembling the bumper and it was a sunday so I couldn't go to Autozone...I ended up spending an hour with a pair of long pliers through the wheel well 1/8 turns at a time...
We do not sell the RHD for the UK market anymore since there is very little demand for it. Currently the headlights are only LHD for the European market
+janna graham To replace a Xenon bulb on the Audi A3 you do not have to remove the bumper. To install new headlights you must take off the bumper in order to replace the headlights. Some of the bolts are under the bumper & you can't remove them without removing first
+Martyn Day (Smir) bumper comes off to change units but not just a xenon bulb which I've just changed on mine trick thing to do but I managed after 20'mins

No. The car came with halogen headlights. Our Xenon headlights are 100% Plug & Play. Yes. They come with D2S bulbs & ballasts. No canbus error if you use our headlights. We ship them ready to be installed. If you use other headlights you will get a error in the dashboard & lights will flicker.
So these headlights say 2003-2009 on your website and for RHD. My A3 is a 2009 (facelift 2009-2012) with halogen and DRLs, will these work for me? If so how will the DRL work? Thanks

Zhoaib Raja Yes, they come with bulbs & ballasts. They are 100% Plug & Play. No errors. Bulbs are specially designed for the A3 to avoid the wiper motor, so for replacements you have to order the bulb from us.
I did it because I can. It Takes only a couple of minutes with the lift. It's easier to work, record the video & show every single part removed with detail. There is also no need to make a video tutorial to replace the headlights, but we do it to help anyone with doubts.
Don't usually criticise video but ifs not helpful at all.Alll it shows is how to remove bumper and headlights. ..hence why so many questions in the comments
UK law requires HID to have a lense or an outer wiper I believe.. Had a car fail once due to just swapping in a HID kit.. All due to light bleed and less focus.
Ist klar bei 6:46 einfach nen cutt gemacht das mann nicht den fehler sieht weil mann muss die zuerst anlernen weil halogen haben einen kaltstrom und das passt noch nicht zusammen und radio ausgemacht das man ja nicht die fehlermeldung sieht also nicht Plug Play es muss schon noch was gemacht werden !!
The headlights comes with the bulbs already installed. This is a installation video for a Plug & Play headlight. Not sure what is your case, but it has nothing to see with this video.

You can do it by putting your hand through the wheel trim

@8:28 is the only screw you need to get to that the bumper cover is hiding...partial bumper cover removal will expose this...
you dont have to take bumper off do you to change a xenon bulb , think headlight will come out without bumper coming off x

To replace a Xenon bulb on the Audi A3 you do not have to remove the bumper.
To install new headlights you must take off the bumper in order to replace the headlights.

If you buy the Plug & Play Xenon headlight then YES. Same connector, and no need to setup with VAGCOM.

In the UK HID headlights have to be self levelling, so this would fail an MOT test.
I noticed there was no cycle of the adaptive headlights.. spose it could be set to disabled..
donc si je comprend bien il fait bi xenon et est en plug and play donc il suffirait juste de brancher la connectique normale sans ballast??

This is crazy...the taillights are super easy to replace...but you have to take off the front bumper to change the headlights...

Previously they were using HALOGEN. We updated to XENON.
