I have been looking for a video that shows how to do this. My inner cowl is rusted out on my Camaro. This gives me some confidence to take on this project. Thanks!
Looks great man. I was wondering on those spot welds on the firewall, why didn't you just drill all the way through since you don't care about the panel at the back? You said you used a punch.
That's a good question. It was an attempt to keep the holes small. I just used the punch to break the welds loose. It didn't work all that well. I want to figure out a way to cut spot welds without damaging the inside panel. I have a bunch more spot weld cutting in my future.
I have a 67 chevy impala 4 dr ht that a huge tree branch fell on smashed the window out pushed the dash the upper cowl down so i have to basically do the same as ur doing here to my impala i have a parts car im gonna salvage it all from.

@@ElrodsGarage Don't think anyone enjoys popping spot welds! Unless of course you don't care about any of the metal, then it is fun :)
Ha ha ha True dat! I'm glad they were easy to get to and I didn't have to stand on my head.
You’ll be a master of many things before you’re done. Especially profanity! 😁 Good job...
Love these videos! Again, nice work.
