Thank you so much! I just had mine delivered yesterday, and just a little apprehensive about not knowing how to use or maintain it properly. These videos from people who have first knowledge is very reassuring. Great video!
Thanks for all the info on the Braava. I'm buying one today from BBB with 20 percent off. I'll use distilled water and just heat a small amount in the microwave to get it warm. I agree with you on use of tap water from your first video on this device plus our water is hard even though we have a softener and filters on the water lines. Your info and time to make the videos is much appreciated.
Thanks you saved me! The strainer didn't get back, just as I touched it and didn't get how to place it back. Your video taught me well!! Bought this yesterday and already got that it's a good tool for small bathrooms and kitchen!
Approved Solutions Note: Although the bottle says "Braava jet", iRobot Hard Floor Cleaner is suitable for Scooba® robots, as well. You may use 2 oz of white vinegar per tank of water (not recommended for marble floors).
Update: I either soak the actual pad and then start or I spray the floor with the floor cleaner. It’s works perfectly! I don’t usually put water in the reservoir and it’s been working fine. That way it’s not diluted. Floor cleaner works way better than just plain water FYI
Hi! I just got mine recently and I’ll turn it on today. I bought the Cleaning Solution but it is not mentioned in the robot instructions. Also, I don’t want to peel off the instructions in the bottle in case I have to return it to the store. The bottle mentions it is for Braava Jet m6, 200 and 300 but not our model 240. Thanks in advance :-)
I need to know a current information of what to use in my new Braava Jet 240. I’m getting mixed info from the few sources out there. I have tried to call the Bona company directly but, just a recording stating it’s hours of operation and to call back when they are open. It’s always on no matter what time of day I call. I happen to live in their mountain time zone too. I did purchase their iRobot certified brand of Hard Surface cleaning solution. I don’t want to ruin my new Braava Jet 240. Please help!
+Ramon Papa Thanks. I wipe mine down every now and then, but as far as I know if they get too grungy the only option is replacing them (which is easy and cheap.)
+Kevin Sanders Do NOT add soap to the tank. It's not designed for that and can ruin your robot. That said, I have a suspicion based on a questionnaire I recently completed that they may soon be coming out with some sort of solution that can be added to the tank.

+Bella's World if it’s a reusable pad I don’t see why you couldn’t put whatever cleaner you wanted directly into the pad, but that’s personal opinion. I’m sure iRobot support would be happy to let you know what can and can’t be used.

You are next level bro in drying the tank . . 😀😀

@Pete Bryant my same idea! I will use distilled water,to keep it from calcium deposits!! But warm, hey, what an amazing guess you had!! Bravo!!

Seems like you could put distilled vinegar in it mixed with water as well. This will kill any odor you have in the tank.

Just got mine this week and never thought to do it! Just ran over and emptied my water tank and left it open to air dry 😅
Very good explanation!!!
This seems like common sense. I've had mine for over a year and no issues. I leave it open over night to dry.
Did your nozzle ever clog? Mine is just a month old and nozzle is just dribbling instead of spraying water.
Thanks! Just got one of these for my daughter. This will be important for her to know.
Thanks for the useful Video. I wanted to ask if you had any suggestions for what to do if the tank/tubes are already mouldy & smelly?
Where n for how much can I get this robot
Plz reply
Nice video!!! Do you know if is possible clean the wheels. :-)

Can you damp one of the reusable wet mopping with cleaning solution. Or will it damage it?
+Bella's World are you asking if you can put cleaning solution onto a reusable pad, or are you asking if you can use a cleaning solution in the tank?
@@KevCentral can I use just water in the tank or do I need the solution?
Thank u
can you add in the tank liquid detergent ?
No. These aren’t designed to have anything in the tank but water. The detergent is in the pads.
@@KevCentral thanks for the fast answer. Do you know if the new braava jet m6 can or is the same like 240 ?
According to IRobot’s website you can use their hard floor cleaning solution in the tank of the 240. They recommend two capfuls.
thank you !
I'm happy it provided some useful information. Thank you for commenting.
Thank you
+Bella's World 👍
Has anyone put fabuloso in one?
I have. Very diluted tho. As it will foam and clog up the sprayer of the device. Idk if I will do it again tho.
You can use cold boiled water, this is it...
Can I add soap to the tank to spray on the ground

@@KevCentral Vinegar?

The Braava Jet 240 isn’t designed to use vinegar.
It says by irobot 2ml of vinegar is ok. Google it.
On the pad
