  • Jean Touitou of French fashion label A.P.C. presents a new collection of 7 quilts, produced in collaboration with Jessica Ogden. Each quilt is limited to 30 examples and will be available for sale starting March 24, 2011. Made in India, as seen in this video.

    @mffn seriously, people should start thinking about it. you got a point there man. cheap labour probably in hazardous conditions that we on the other side of the world, take for granted.

    How would you not make it a sweat shop? If this was in America I don't know how you could make the conditions any better.

    OK... nice factory, brand new Brother industrial models. But... So primitively inefficient! Amazingly, they are using fabric shears to clip threads! A cutter can be glued to the side of each machine for pennies...not to mention adding a foot pedal controlled cutter for a few dollars more. And what's with the back breaking basting on the CONCRETE FLOOR?! Surely a few tables could be provided for this work? And finally, really, using a NEEDLE to hand prick holes for a pattern transfer?!

    How nice of you to film inside a sweatshop factory and promote quilts that can be made for less than 10 dollars and charge them 93203923023 dollars. Grats
