good company for dividends, I have 150 shares. I will buy more if it drops again under my average price. Amazing how Mr. Market dislike a 10% yield, relatively safe and way higher than bonds.
BTI And The Rule Of 72 When investing in dividend stocks, it is worth considering the "Rule of 72". This enables you to calculate how long it will take to double your money. It works by dividing 72 by the yield. With British American Tobacco currently yielding about 9.5%, by dividing 72 by 9.5, it shows it will take around 7.6 years to double your money with the dividend. However, this stock could take even less time than that because of potential share price appreciation. I expect this stock to rise when interest rates decline over the next couple of years.
7815 shares now! The FDA is working on banning illigal chineese wapes. Vuse is the most popular vape on the us market. Here in Norway nobody smokes but still 20% of the population uses nicotine. Bats nicotine pouches is in nr2 spot overall here and in nr1 spot for females. Humans will always crave things like nicotine it will just evolve.
The thing I see as a problem and an opportunity is vaping. All vapes and vape juices (that I can buy locally) are from China. Vaping doesnt smell bad and you can smoke indoors. Vaping is attractive to young people and easier to sell because it smells nice and tastes like candy. If the tobacco industry miss out on this they are in big trouble.
I've been swamped and hadn't had a chance to watch the video...do we know why the net income went big negative in 2023? Thanks and I need to watch the video tonight.
That's just the accrual accounting net income which is them devaluing their American brands by around £20B as they expect it's useful life to be shorter than it is currently, no actual change in profit/cash flow.
British American Tobacco (BTA) acquired Reynolds American Inc. in 2017. The acquisition was a result of a takeover bid, where BTA offered a cash-and-stock deal worth $49.4 billion to buy the remaining 58% of Reynolds American that it did not already own. The deal was completed on July 25, 2017, creating the world’s largest listed tobacco company.
Altria brought JUUL and BTI brought Reynolds only to default, the more you follow these companies you start to see that it might be rigged somehow. MO and BTI are the only competitors in the vape space and other smoke free products. I feel these companies work with the US government and will be rewarded in the long run especially when not if the vape crackdown happens. BTI and MO will do well over time. I truly believe like faith. Can I get an Amen? Believe like buy restaurant stocks on March 23, 2020 . It was the best of times that day, everyone else said I was nuts. Now I own all MO, BTI, IP mostly. Treasures for opportunities in the future. Easy money retired in my Thirty with this

The smokeless tobacco pouches and disposable vapes are great. I find the products quite addictive

How much of your portfolio is in Bti

how can you ban illegal vapes? If something is illegal, it's automatically banned.
Congratulations on the great monthly dividends
@@maguilla BTI does not pay monthly dividends.
I'm dripping BTI but I think after this analysis, I'll start to take the dividend. Thanks.
You’re welcome :)
Sin stocks will always trade well below their intrinsic value, no?
625 shares, dripping and buying ❤
Must love those quarterly dividends that come in! 💪
Got 102 shares @ 34$ average cost. I'm so tempted to buy more but don't want BTI being a bigger percentage of my portfolio than around 4%
I bought 3080 shares today wish me a luck!
Good luck! 😅
Can you do forward air?
I have a small position of 150 shares but im not planning to ad more at this point .
Lump sum into it and use the dividends to invest in growth companies.
Almost 1200 shares. Keep DRIPPING
Did you mention that they announced to write-off all goodwill from their cigarette acquisitions in the next 10-30 years?
I am still filling my boots.
I recently sold MO and transitioned into PM and BTI. We'll see if it's a good decision.
Good luck!

What did they do in 2017 though? Their debt more than doubled. Was this an aquisition of a vaping firm?
