Brilliant podcast on HRV with Dr Alan Watkins. I really enjoyed Alan's delivery on a subject I've spent a lot of time trying to get my head round. Mike asked the type of questions I wanted to hear the answer to. I've learnt a lot from listening to this podcast. Many thanks to you both 👍
This is great, thank you. So I’m not clear if an even breath is so good why the focus on 4:6 breath (from e.g. Leah Lagos) to achieve coherence? I don’t know now whether to do 5:5 or 6:4 now.
Wonderful podcast and much appreciated. Have watched Alan's former you tubes which were entertaining and helpful to learn this technique. I've taught ny clients about HRV but found this today very helpful as I can send people to the part at the end where the actual breathwork is described.
Brilliant interview. I practise coherence breathing every day and use heartmath innerbalance and emwave pro track heart coherence and hrv4training to track hrv first thing in the morning.
@@TAKEADEEPBREATH Do you breathe through your heart yourself??? I’m still thinking about switching from my diaphragm breathing to heart. But tried it once, I think might be better than diaphragm breathing
There is so much great information in this podcast... Perhaps breathing rhythmically and smoothly with your irritation might shift your energy with it!
Thanks to you and Dr Watkins Mike. It's one of the best podcast I've listened too in a long time. I'll have to sit down with pen and paper and make some notes.😊
This is really interesting Mike, especially the part of on the misconception on relaxation, where we should be in rhythm, not too left not too right. Could you cut that part down in a short video please? Thanks!

Great interview and exactly why rhythmic breathing is the foundation of yogic breathing what we teach in soma breath ❤
Fantastic and incredibly helpful ~ thank you both so much for sharing your knowledge
So much information thank you 🙏🏻🤩
Absolutely loved this Mike. Thank you 🙏

Looking forward to time stamps :). Great content btw! ❤
almost ready
done x
Brilliant stuff 😊
Thank you
Really interesting insights, thanks.
Sampling rate applies to optical sensors only. I would think Polar type sensors are analog and receive electrical signal from heart beats

Is this the same breathing that stephen elliot advocates ?
You are growing a lot, it would be cool if you could do a theta wave induction breathin video if that is even possible thanks sm for your work
does Apple Watch Ultra have an accurate sensor for HRV readings?
I'm not sure, he said chest straps tend to be best, Mike

Discovered by a Russian scientist who was given one channel of data from cosmonauts in space.
Stopped listening in the first sentence when the guy pronounced “h” as “hatche.” I can’t listen to that for an hour and a half.
Agree with you. I go to our local bank which is the HSBC and the staff working there say, 'haitch'. Think I'll bank elsewhere.
Self defense mechanism because your life was about to get totally changed. One of my fave UA-cam’s ever.
I'm not native english speaker. What's wrong with taht "haitche"?
There is no such word as haitch. The letter H is pronounced aitch.@@irute-la9235

Get someone to put the correct words on this. Coherent breeding??!! Breathing ... for goodness sake. What fool wrote the words?!!
You're getting some interesting people on your channel. Great stuff!
Thanks so much, many more gems on the way!
WHOOP for the win! This is all the Qs I've had about my HRV from Whoop
Disordered breeding ???!!¡ ( love these subtitle guys)
Brilliant Mike. I read Dr Watkins book years ago and it was excellent.

So the heart math institute is not a good enough device to actually measure HRV in a way that is productive?
Another great interview, thanks Mike. 🙏
IN 24 HOURS THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE 🙏
Tell me more
Would be great to have Allan and Richard Bandler on one panel.

This answered so many of the questions I've had around HRV!
Brilliant!
I don't have time to watch the whole video at the moment. Is there any particular breathing pattern that he recommends?
absolutely fantastic explanation of hrv! The best I’ve heard so far ❤
So glad!
1:11:50 good list
PLEASE!!!! No such word as 'haitch. It is aitch.
