Instead of using spoon to fit ur foot in shoe, better u open the shoe laces so u can fit ur foot easily in it and again u can tie the laces as per ur tightness required.

If you have a top-loader, get yourself a smalls bag and chuck 'em in that. If the mesh is too wide and the laces tend to snake out, just tie the ends of the laces together.

For inside of shoes, try hydroxide peroxide cleaner spray. Especially good for fishing boots and waders.
