@@maverick9055 yup these days it’s how many tunes you done what stage u on who mapped it yada yada yada more to cars than how fast they can go imho like thae car with backwards seats and giant tv 🤯 pimp my ride on crack hahaha
I actually miss the creativity and explosive styles of the late 90's - early 2000's. Probably why I still own a pro street styled 98 Isuzu Hombre S and a track ready 01' Celica GTS.
I own the white s14a with the wierd double side exit exhaust. I loved the max power scene , its where I started out in the car world many years ago , so I built the silvia for the show and drove it over from Ireland, great weekend of nostalgia, thanks for the coverage mate 🙌
I grew up in this scene and genuinely miss it. I miss the variety of builds. I always went for the slightly more subtle stuff but had friends who went all out.
Yep like my old saxo at the start of this video £5,000 buying the car then a further £15,000 doing it up lol 😆 (not how it left me in the condition you see it in the video)
Doesn't matter what you can think of let's just put it on the car " fantastic old school video" made me feel 18 all over again " maybe that's why I have a fully modified slammed wide arch nissan juke 😂😂😂, epic 👍
I miss this car scene it the US. Cars actually had personalities and were unique. People didn't bash people's car just because they didn't like the style. Wish today's car scene was like the old days.
Its crazy to think I use to have massive posters of some of these cars on my wall about 20 years ago.... and their still alive!! ❤ Also... the AMG with the number plate "go go amg" pops and bangs mixed in so well with the DnB tune 😅
Oh my days the cars I've seen on this video brings back memories of when I used to order Max power magazines religiosily.Max power and Redline and fast ford was my favorites. Big up to you for showing me some blasts from the past
The blue car at 3:10 is the same kind of car D Ali G(Sacha Baron Cohen) drove in D Ali G Indahouse. In the movie the car was yellow with blue interior, the opposite of this one, which makes me wonder if the movie has something to do with the car.
I absolutely love the second track that you posted on this video! Definitely feel that I am back in the 90's car scene. I used to get the Max Power magazines in Australia, and now I live in the UK, I will need to find the next event! Great video Adam!
The amount of money people used to spend on relatively cheap cars back then was mad. Full leather interiors with as much I.C.E as possible, body kits and full resprays. I went to a Max Power event at the Birmingham NEC in 2001 and there were Saxo's and 106's that had around 40 grand spent on them 😂 Got to be honest though, maybe it's because I'm older now, but to me it makes a lot more sense to have a much better car (that doesn't need to be modified) than to buy a crappy car that needs a ton of money spent on it.
Love the creativity of these cars if I were to build one I would try and keep it fast Nice body kit and sound system and not over the top so that it hurts the cars performance and a funky color.
I had more fun owning a delta kitted ferrari red calibra turbo in the early naughties that kept exploding every 50miles than every other "better" car since. No #ucks given was the most exciting scene ever. The whole cruise atmosphere went totally up its own arse not long after.
I was born In 2001 so I missed the first run of max power but I have been into cars for as long as I can remember. My dad had a max power key ring on the keys of his Starlet GT Turbo and I remember asking him about it when I was about 5 or 6 and him telling me about the max power days. Now I’m 21 and have my own MR2. Not max power but a cool car none the less!
this is the best tuning in my opinion. today the cars are just grey, black or white with no body kit on it, and you only look cool if you have some random stock looking supra, and spend all your money in some giant ass engine to put on it. if you tune your car in the way you love, they call you a ricer kid and mock your car. look what happened to honda owners, the modern kids just HATE them only because they are having some good time in their hondas. what a lame tuning generation we are in
Cars from back in the day that people actually built and customised unique cars and didnt buy a "computor" get a remap and pretend they are a care enthusiast.
When car culture was unique and every car had its own flare and character, bring it back :(
Definitely, they all buy a stock wee power car that looks the same. I like to put my own stamp on a car 👍 they were the best days back then
@@maverick9055 yup these days it’s how many tunes you done what stage u on who mapped it yada yada yada more to cars than how fast they can go imho like thae car with backwards seats and giant tv 🤯 pimp my ride on crack hahaha
@@maverick9055 Nothing wrong with having a car that’s stock? Some people like originality?
@@jameshinchy7758 never said there was a problem just said I prefer to put my own stamp on it like back then. No two cars were the same.
Yes so true, now those days it's look all the same.
Still my favorite type of tuning so much creativity in the builds
Was built not bought back then. No 2 cars the same
@@rosco3223 Im sure they were all bought at a point of time
@@bnkh nah being the 90's they were probably nicked

That widebody E30 at the beginning is actually dope
Yes Adam thrown in an absolute classic D&B tune Highlights for me well it’s got to be BMW at the start Absolutely stunning
went on the sunday and was an awesome day.fibreglass and audio everywhere just like the old days
I grew up in this scene and genuinely miss it. I miss the variety of builds. I always went for the slightly more subtle stuff but had friends who went all out.
Adam C, thank you for an old school Max Power throw back with proper decent music selection 👍

the ali g renault 5 childhood is coming back thick and fast
Its ALL ABOUT THE CLASSIC MAX POWER👍👏 My Generation👍 REALLY took me back to my Startout days..THANK YOU ADAM C for an AMAZING walk Down Memory Lane👏👏😊
I loved the Max Power era. How to buy a £4K car, spend £10k on it to end up with a £3k car 😂😂👍
Yep like my old saxo at the start of this video £5,000 buying the car then a further £15,000 doing it up lol 😆 (not how it left me in the condition you see it in the video)
Same as most cars these days... 😅
Fibreglass, filler and maxing 29.9% credit cards. The good old days.
Max power was my era 👏👏👏. I had a lot of these cars, even a PlayStation in one of them 😂.
these max power looking cars look better than most of the so call modded stuff now

These are some of the cleanest uk ricers ive seen especially that Astra.
Haha that’s my two tone escort the majority of the bodykit is of different cars and you missed the dolphin washer jets 😂
Can we just appreciate at the start of the vid the Mazda in the back with the biggest fuckin turbo you’ve ever seen
Ew
@@Eddiee757 ''Ew'' said the kid that doesnt know how cool this was back then.
Kids these days won’t know that these cars used to be cool back then😂. Scissor doors, big subwoofer & speakers with custom housing, unique livery etc.
kids back then: its all about having fun! this cars are so cool!
kids these days: its all about mock! ewww its that a ricer??
Remember saving up & doing overtime at work back in the day as on pay day go online & mod shopping 😂
I love how they’ve dug the original girls out of the garage too 😂
Love seeing this.
3:23 ayyyy Irish plates

The style might be dated but some of the craftsmanship at the time was excellent

Nice one thanks for catching all 3 of my cars Adam 👍 hopefully you will come to the 2023 show and see the 'as found' ex top 100 blue Saxo finished 😊
That mk1 mx5 at the intro though

Always. Not even relevant to the show either.
ali g drives the r5gtt at 3mins in, its on ali g visits the countyside, i loved that car when i was a teenager
in some parts i felt like im in a rave haha LOVE the DnB parts my man
Are you going to an event next weekend adam c? If you haven't planned one there is a good 1 at farmer copleys in pontefract
did anyone see the turbo on the mx5 at 0:22
I didn't even notice
Love the max power era
Great video Adam. I've still got a ton of max power mags
That green mk3 fiesta wide arch is awesome.
These cars are amazing! I love the ricer tuning culture, i dream to build a ricer car in the future
Nice to see the John Klies audio Astra’s on display
I like the music 🎶 to your edit. You inspire me

They're not Rice as most of them are fully built engines as well....

The era that started it all for me.
I miss mad power magazine, the sun page 3 , good ol' days
These 90s-2000s cars were absolute ricers but in a way I love them, if only they came back with performance mods too
Another awesome vid Adam! I look forward to watching them after a long day of wrenching.
Sure the escort saloon was known as a Orion? Could be wrong
So many badboy bonnets xD
Yess I finally made it on one of his videos
Brings me back to the old shows at the nec have so many pics from them days and was an orion not an escort lol just too be picy

when you were walking i the car park adam behind you there was a miata in white with a massive turbo hanging out the hood 0:23
Yep
These cars made me feel like this is a car meet in Brazil 12 years ago
Its what the car scene needs nowadays as its so dull nowadays come backs of max power meetings
Hey adam c there is a classic carshow happening in stevenage tomorrow just in case you want to make a vid on it
The blue & pink BMW at the start is owned by Helen Stanley from Goblin Garage the t.v show.
Great vlog Adam 🏎🏎🏎
0:22 what in the sam hill is going on with that Mx 5
I never liked this style but it's cool now for the simple fact that these cars survived.
Was there great day out 👍🏻☘️☘️
The max power cars are so cool.
My eyes were bleeding for half of the video, ppl think this is taste, this is the destruction of a car's beauty
A few Corsa b's but sadly not a single mk1 Tigra! I was hoping to spot a "tastefully" modified example of my own car!
Sparks from the rim + dry grass started the fire.
yup
A wild Adam C with a fresh haircut
😁👍🤟🥰good job! 😎
is nobody gonna talk about the miata 0:19
People have spoken about it already, yes.
ADAM, what day did you go please would love to know because I went on the Sunday ❤
Wasn't that "Escort" @ 3:37 actually an Orion? Escorts didn't have boots.
Escort saloon
The late ones did. Orion badge was dropped 1993 but a booted escort continued until 2000.
Renault 5s
Love it!
Yo Adam you need to find more vauxhall nova man
Seen that yaris at summer madness it's a write off now think the channels light up customs
this is my type of car show
Brilliant👍🏼
Soo cool love it
Ah reliving my child hood. This generation have no idea
I miss the Ali G days of the Max Power car scene.
Why so many modern cars? Modern modified isn't the same
🔥
That renault 5 wasnt from ali-g ??? 😁😁
oh yes this makes me happy really great son have to make more movies
Never realised my alarm had gone off haha (texaco focus)
