The Albinaurics are one of the most fascinating and sad parts of the Game. Good for Loretta on protecting and guiding them to the Haligtree. She is a real hero. My theory is that they are somehow made from the Silver Tears we find in Nokstella. Oh I also wanna say your Lore Videos are amazing. Very well researched 👍
I thought they were in the mohg blood area, with one positioned outside of the portal, because mohg kidnapped miquella and they went in to try to rescue but were not powerful enough. Hence why they’re all in the swamp and not up in the building.
I'm not sure if it was mentioned and I just missed it, but "Albinauric" is latin for "white gold". White gold is an alloy of gold mixed with lesser metals and doesn't occur naturally, which I think ties in nicely with their lore.
Lattenna can control wolves in battle omg !!!! I used her only in bossfights and I never found this because of that. She is one of my favorite go to for ranged support battles.
I think there's a good argument for both perspectives, but I tend toward Loretta not being an Albinauric. If she's willing to abandon her allegiance to Caria and fight for them, perhaps she wouldn't mind being identified as one. I like to think she taught the female Albinaurics how to ride and fire bows so well. She gave them a means to defend themselves while she went searching for a home for them. I also think "Philia" could be Loretta; the name means "friend". Maybe something she took on working with the archers in Ordina. If Loretta is a relative of the Carian family she could have some abilities like that of Rennala. Rennala's rebirths are also legless - I feel like there's some relation there. Nice video. ☺️ Lots to think on.
Great points. I never considered Rennala's legless sweetlings possibly being related to the Albinaurics, but makes you wonder, especially given that the egg itself was given to her by Radagon
I was just thinking yesterday on how many artificial life forms/mechanical unites there are in the lands between. Crystal Tears and albinaurics of course, but you also have the marionettes, crystalians, puppets and spirit ashes. It's kinda crazy!
It makes sense that the Haligtree knight Loretta is Albinauric, it explains why Ofnir the All-Knowing would assume the Albinauric would know where to find the medallion pieces to reach the Haligtree. He went after the medallion pieces in their village but didn't find anything. After immobilizing Latenna by killing her companion Lobo and stationing a bloodhound knight to maintain watch over her as her jailer, most likely waiting for her to crack and reveal where to find the medallion piece. But, with Latenna not talking for at least as long as it took Nepheli to grow from a young child to a badass warrior, Ofnir waited for the right moment and dispatched the Tarnished to Latenna's location to extract the location of the medallion he suspected the last Albinauric was keeping from him. I thought it was unusual how he knew where to find her and that the cave's boss was a completely out of context bloodhound knight, but with this important piece of the puzzle in place, the purpose behind the Albinauric village massacre makes sense. And why Ensha Edgelord attacks the tarnished when you return with Albus's medallion piece, Ofnir ordered it so, he was planning on stealing it but the Tarnished killed Ensha and Ofnir had to change tact. Thank you, Zoe.
I doubt Loretta is an albinauric: "Shield of radiant silver, festooned with amber and carried by Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree. The shape is said to imitate that of a sacred drop of dew, which inspired the absurd rumor that Loretta herself was an Albinauric." (Source: Mirrorshield) Oh and I also wanted to add she bleeds red blood when you fight her in the haligtree
@@EnvoyOfRot first off, great name. Second, I recall bleeding my blood, but I don't recall Loretta bleeding at all, red or white, so I'll take your word for it. As for the best shield in the whole game's description, I thought the term "absurd" was racist snobbery of the "oh that is absurd, an Albinauric couldn't possible reach such brilliance" variety.
@@RidireOiche The way I take it is that item descriptions are from a narrators perspective and as far as I know they never deceived us. But we do not know for sure. I think if Loretta actually was an Albinauric though, would that not have been super hard to hide? Must have been suspicious if she never walks around Here you can see a dude hitting her (not her horse) with jump attacks and and red blood splashed around. ua-cam.com/video/9mFt0IDm33E/v-deo.html "first off, great name" Thank you 👍
@@EnvoyOfRot all I'm gonna say is that you can knock any other mounted enemy off their mount (except tree sentinels). including the albinauric archers, but perhaps with Loretta specifically they decided she would be too weak
This was brilliant, I've been intrigued by the Albinauric's for quite some time. I had read theories about Loretta being Albinauric but I hadn't seen it mentioned that she guided Albinauric's to the Haligtree. Knowing more about them, they're much more fascinating than I had previously thought. If you decide to delve into Gideon's lore I'd be interested as I stopped talking to the prick after I found the Albinauric village, Latenna and Lobo and he disowned Nepheli after she helped defeat the Omenkiller. Oh and he tried to kill us with Ensha.
Great video. There has been new talk on the giant lady being somehow related to the two giant skeletons on thrones you find underground. The implication that she is still young makes it seems like she still has growing to do.
Excellent video but I have to point this out. "I have yet to see alburaurics use freezing breath except for the summons" proceeds to show an alburaurics use freezing breath. 4:30
Excellent video, so happy to see it since it was one of the bits of Elden Ring lore I've been most curious about but haven't seen getting as much attention as I think it should! :)
No surprise, but yet another incredible lore video Zoe! Thanks for the hard work, this was a sad story to hear but that seems normal with FromSoft lore!
Brilliant video Zoe I always learn a lot from your lore videos. Do you have a favourite character from Elden ring yet? Or is a particular event that you find from the lands between that you like to talk about ? I don't know if you have done a lore video on Rannais complains yet ? Blythe, Silluis and the gaint blacksmith . Sir Giddion and Fia from roundtable hold I would also like to know more about :).
Not to come off creepy, but your voice and Elden Ring are and excellent combo! Loving these videos! there are very well done and concise I love hearing about the lore and playing.
They are from the eternal city's if we look at the evidence and their is also a cut dialogue from the village of Albinaurics and ge is praying to the Moon , the stars and the Lord of Moon and he is praying for revenge against the ones that attacked the village
If albanurics are such undesirable life forms why are they studied so hard? 🤔 I think there's more to it than they let on... Maybe albanurics are divine life forms considering the earlies night folk bled the same color blood they do...

"I haven't seen an Albinauric use frost myself"
*2 seconds later, in the footage, an Albinauric using frost*
I know I only realised it watching it back 🤦🏻♀️

Yeah, it fits with the silver blood thing. They're alive, but they have silver blood anyways.

Thanks for all the lore videos, I love it!
I would love a comic book series based on Elden Ring.
Yeah, but it would ruin it's otherwise exellent storytelling.
Already available. Look up Elden Ring The Road to the Erdtree.
All the souls games are based on berserk a tiny bit
This was another great video! Really enjoying the lore!

The best thing about finishing Elden Ring last week was that I could finally start watching this series and it was worth the wait! Great job Zoe 😁
Thanks so much! Can you tell I've been deep diving... Zoe
Love this the albanorics were something i wanted to learn more of and your video was more then i was expecting
Thanks! I'm fascinated by them too. Zoe
Awesome video, intriguing stuff~
I've got almost 900 hrs in Elden Ring and I'm just now learning that Latenna can mount enemy wolf mobs in the world 🤯
Oh god. What I did with the sacred relic sword in Moghwyn palace stays in Moghwyn palace.
The red Albinaurics as well as the ones in the Consecrated Lands both will spew out frost magic, but very rarely
Never knew Latenna can ride direwolves
Thank you!
Great vid .
Yaaaay another Elden EuroGAMER video
The water in deeproot basin is white. Is it albinauric blood?

Talk about frenzied flame and the 3 fingers
Gen 2 albanurics make me happy I think they’re very cute
So when I farm Albinaurics for XP while they are just minding their own business sitting up on that cliff... I am just being lore-friendly :)
If the Albinaurics don't have Grace, why do they drop runes?
Why you gotta make me feel bad for farming those boys.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed that I can't watch these as I haven't finished the game yet. Soon...
please play Bloodborne and make videos of it
If I may, just "Zoe Light" sells better as a showbiz name.
you may not. Yours, Zoe Delahunty-Light
So, Loretta got to go through Ordina on horseback, but we can't? F**k this
Drink everytime she says albinaurics
Thank you so much for this
