Allen thanks a lot my friend. Here you go showing off that impala that ive been wanting since you first got it. Im waiting for you to say cone and get ok like the first time i hope you haven't forgotten 😂😂😂. Now i cant wait to see the repairs on this vic more video's to come 😄😄😄😄
glad to see you back again man, Always a treat to see an upload from you again. I think working to restore that vic could be an awesome project to see honestly. Time to start saving vics while its still easy.
I'm not sure if something was installed incorrectly, or if something failed. Prior owner seemed to think there was an issue with the fuel rails. Either way, looks like I have a puzzle.
Not a coincidence w/panthers, change coil boots($40) injector baskets($20) as well as most likely Doorman turd. Advanced Auto sells after market intake NOT Doorman that is real close to OEM, not sure manufacturer.I have 97 and 99.@@TheCopCar
The grinding could be the belt idler pulley, the alternator, water pump or some other accessory. May not be the motor. I have had 3 cvpi’s and kinda know what sounds are. If you start it again record it and post it so we can hear it.
I feel you with that. I picked up my third Vic this January. It’s a 2010 that’s been sitting since 2014. It’s been fighting me every step of the way trying to repair it, but I mean, if I was locked in a closet for 10 years, I think I’d be a bit cranky when I got out.
Still don't technically own dead Vic... but I do own the additional 2008 that mostly matches my original. I'm hoping to clean it up and get it running smooth again... at some point.
@@TheCopCar it depends on what noises it’s making. If it’s tapping and clacking, it’s probably done for. If it were a pushrod V8, would be easier to tell what sounds it’s making. OHC engines are more tricky since there’s more complexity to them compared to a pushrod OHV engine. If you can’t find a 302 or just don’t want to spend money on one, a 289 V8 (same block as the 302) will also fit. Though, may have to get a adapter to fit it to the transmission. The Ford 22/260/289/302/255 are all the same block, just different displacements.
welcome back Legend! try starting her without the serpentine belt on - that'll help determine if it's an accessory issue
That might be an interesting way to find out if it's still grinding. I like the path you are going down on this.
Get a hold of crown rick to help you with parts if possible
I wish we weren't on opposite sides of the country, the shipping is a killer.
I like the new addition in your fleet. With out hearing it I don`t know know what to say?
Thanks, and that's a fair statement. I want to get the rust off the roof first, then I'll probably start messing with the engine.
that thing needs the full WJ Handy Dad treatment
Yes it does, it's rough.
lol definitely agree!!
Get it restored brother!

The Impala still lives. I think the Vic will be an interesting / fun puzzle... and a good learning experience.
@@TheCopCar we will be waiting for the good time's
Congrats on the new vic
Thank you!
It’s worth restoring. Might be pricy or tedious but it’ll give you experience.
That's what I was thinking... and if I mess up, at least I'm not messing up on the better one. Haha

I agree, before long they'll be like the aero Vic or the 90s Caprice... just gone and the few that survive will be rough.
@@TheCopCar Yeah i have been saying this for a while but so many people dont wanna hear it.
If I had the money I would try to buy it from you. Rust looks like a coolant leak. Head gasket probably gone.

That is absolutely not a head gasket leak, likely the intake manifold installed incorrectly or failed. I'd bet thats his issue.
I was thinking it was some of the issues have something to do with the intake manifold installation... but time will tell.

I've gotta get that battery charged back up... and probably figure out where that fuel leak is too.
Wow bro 2 videos in a row
I know, soooo much right now. Hopefully I can keep up with it.
Good to see you back!! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the cars!
Hopefully I can keep finding time to make videos on the progress. I need to get that rust off the roof before it eats the car soon.

Is that crown yours now?, what are your future plans for that ONE?..

Yo im here bro got you on the tv & 3 vics
Thanks! Always appreciate the continued support!
@@TheCopCar no problem bro
And they are all white 😂
The irony is... I"m not a fan of white vehicles generally. If I can get the newest Vic up and running right... I might want to turn it dark blue.
I got both 2010 impala and Vic and they both good vehicles. Just need a SUV now.
This isn’t the correct engine for this era of Crown Victoria, but I’d just replace it with a 302 crate engine.
When I figure out if this engine is toast or not, that might be the answer.

Good to know. I haven't dug really deep into any engines yet.
Great to see you again. I miss your videos. Hope you can fix the new Vic.
Very easy engine to rebuild, very easy!! Also it’ll teach you a thing or two. Looking forward to the future, good luck 😎
The next time you try to Crank it up take the belt off man had a broke blade from the water pump inside
Any idea where I can get a setina wrap around addition for a Chevy impala?
