Oh my God Is this what’s known as thinking outside of the tent./box I was, planning to take 3 toyotas around the world in a couple of years and everything was based on roof tents. And I am talking 5000 dollars with two per vehicle.. Having just discovered that any truck roof does not carry 2 x 180lbs people plus tent I was planning a full external roll cage going across the bonnet for two tents.
Holy cow, for 200 dollars you can fix a full room on the side of the truck and I am talking 3 x 4 metres. . Thanks a million for changing my whole concept . I cannot begin to think of the changes to my,plans thanks to you. How much more sociable to sit outside the tent at night and simply,go through the zip door to bed. Not carrying 6 x 150lb means much more luxurious camp beds , ok. Back to the drawing board. Now I am going to check everything you have done.
At 73 years old, it’s never too late to teach an old dog new tricks. Please keep in touch. I live in a beautiful minor palace in Thailand and would be eternally grateful for this advice. My treat.

Headed down that way Friday, looking forward to seeing Needles District area, and some of the trails there. Nice to see somebody who knows how to handle a vehicle, better yet, how to self-extract with a simple tire change, and common sense. Great videos, thanks!

Great job on the videos, sry about the tire issue but good decision to not push it. Panorama Point is absolutely gorgeous, camped there 6 years ago. Have not made it to Chocolate Drops or Doll House, on the Bucket List. Good luck on the next attempt.

BTW, I read in a geological history of the region that Fisher Towers are eroded in to beds of conglomerate and arkose that are the erosional debris from a long gone mountain range, termed the Ancestral Rockies, that existed in the region 300 MYA.

I recently read about the same thing, it's so fascinating!
Like the same basic thing as our Rockies, but during the time of the dinosaurs; eroding away to sand.
So in 100 million years will some other civilization be digging our fossils out of the sand from the current Rockies in their own sculpted deserts?
      Cool Stuff.

Copyrights suck. I'd love to put real music in but it costs money and I'm not really making much off doing this.
