PAC does what others failed to do. He made Malakai Black lose his mind by mocking his cross leg ground sit and flipping both the middle fingers. It was beautiful and poetic.

I’ve never heard this said before but it sounds like a common phrase. Many times the crowd boos for no reason. And they get real pissed when the wrestler calls them out on it.

Between the jobber factory feud and the Malakai feud, he hasn't cut many promos this year, but in 2019 and 2020 he was cutting great promos left and right.

As much as I didn't like that Malakai Black got defeated by him, I can't forget the fact that he is one of the best wrestlers in AEW even today. He never won a World Title which he rightfully deserves IMO. I have to appreciate him, man. He loves all of us.

Goes to show how good he actually he lol no matter what he'll get a reaction out of you because he's a great wrestler regardless of what anyone thinks. When he wins its because he grinded hard for it, when he loses it puts the other guy over big time. Cody has to be the mountain to overcome given his position. So it makes sense to not put him in the world title picture because realistically he's the full package. Great talker, great ring work, the right people around him... he's gonna be one of those people that is sorely missed and appreciated when he retires

This is why Cody Rhodes is one of my favorite wrestler ever. The dude has the best mic skills that I've seen in a long time and his emotions when it gets to the story lines that are deep just scream in your face and his wrestling skills are so polished and he's so good.
Cody's character work has been incredible recently. The guy knows exactly what he's doing.

Feel like Pac is due for a major push, especially as Face into the main event, since he distanced himself from Death Triangle, I feel he could go for the AEW title
I think that's the path they're resetting him on. He and Hangman initially had a rivalry in the beginning. He may be the one taking it from him later.. or Cody, then Pac, maybe.

That's exactly who he's talking about, because Cornette has been railing on Cody for some time. It's funny how many of the AEW roster actually do listen to Jim Cornette, even though people keep calling him "irrelevant". I don't agree with everything he says, but he's oftentimes more right than wrong, and Tony has been implementing some of Jim's ideas into the show, and it HAS improved Dynamite and Rampage more than not.

Respect to Cody for not turning heel. People want to compare him to ruthless aggression era Triple H and 2005-2012 John Cena but Cody doesn’t deserve to be reduced to that. This might sound far-fetched but I wonder if Cody's insistence on not turning heel (which is something he mentions here, and in interviews, and even in the season finale of Rhodes To The Top) is in itself part of the storyline being told. Like this isn't the person behind the character saying that, but the character itself. It is uncommon to break the kayfabe enough to say 'I will not turn (heel)' in front of the crowd. To mention it in the reality show or in interviews is one thing, but in front of a live crowd? So I wonder if Cody, the character, who is so worried over the crowd's reactions, is trying to make sure he stays a babyface, by doing things such as gifting his shoes or directly telling the fans 'I heard you' (things that CM Punk, their dearly beloved, has done before), or by directly telling the fans he loves them and apologising to whoever he can. It is canon that Malakai took the fans' love away from Cody (he states so in his promos), so it would make sense he'd want to take back by any means necessary. It's only a theory and some observations but it'd be interesting to see how it turns out.

This whole dynamic, the way they acknowledge it, is wayyyy cooler than a basic heel turn
for you people who still missing it, THIS IS CODY turning heel in a slow burn / twist, this is a storyline where the hero is overhyped by his own crusade of being THE GOOD GUY, this is another long term storyline with malakai, i can see this story will culminate with Cody being too insecure and feel people like malakai, pack and others being the badasses, took away his heroic achievements from the crowd, just because these guys are COOL...
i think this is a good slow burn storyline...

Cody is accidentally out-heeling the heels. Andrade doesn't care about the fans, but at least that means he's not guilt-tripping the fans into liking him. That ironically makes Cody more heelish than any heel, since the heel has an inherent honesty in his open contempt for the fans, and the heel is speaking truth to power when he insults the hypocritical babyface.

Simply put, Cody has earned everything he has achieved. No short cuts, no BS. He deserves so much more credit than he gets. You need a belt to be the champ, but you gotta have balls to be the man. And Cody IS the man.
You know a storyline is morally complex when Pac is the most babyface man in the ring.
Interesting route to answer the crowd's reactions. That's AEW saying "hey, we really had something going on with him as a babyface. You sure you want to boo him?" with this promo.
Those lines about Brandi, Dusty and Dustin got me, I must be honest.
If the heat keeps on going even more, that heel turn is just going to be sweeter. If the cheers come back, booking will be able to keep on going with plans. Smart, win-win.

What makes AEW the best is that all wrestlers get a "push".
AEW builds all their talent where they are all champions.
That 4 way feud of Moxley, Hangman, Kenny Omega and Pac during the first year of Dynamite was such a feel good feud. This feud between Cody, Pac, Malakai and Andrade has the same feel, a very heated feud with 4 different hotheads.
PAC's cross leg sit with the fingers is why I still love professional wrestling.
