Gavin Luke is an American composer who makes music inspired by nostalgia, nature, and the human condition. His diverse and prolific body of work spans an astonishing range of styles and traditions-from neoclassical to ambient, pop to jazz, EDM to film scoring. His music has tallied 470 million Spotify streams and 15 billion plays via sync in UA-cam videos.
Raised in Minneapolis, Gavin was born with what he describes as “an obsession with music.” At age 7, he enrolled in classical piano lessons, following in the footsteps of his parents and his grandmother. In his teens, he absorbed and experimented with the works of Brahms, Mozart, and George Winston. After studying music synthesis and scoring at the Berklee College of Music, he earned a degree in psychology and moved to LA to continue honing his craft as a composer for film.
The naturalism embedded in Gavin’s approach is inherited from the new age composers who influenced him, and who themselves drew inspiration from the natural world. It is also rooted in childhood memories of fishing and hiking in the lakes and woods his family frequented in Minnesota. In Gavin’s compositional process, sounds, objects, and moments-a thunderstorm, for example-often evoke nostalgic associations from his youth. These recollections intermingle with the sound of the keys as he plays on his grandmother’s fully restored 1925 Steinway grand piano, kindling a fresh musical idea.

This song is very sad, but its like you're moving into acceptance about it. Like a funeral. When you're recounting all of the memories you have about a person.

If love had a sound this is what it would sound like.
In the comments, quite a few people described this tune as relaxing. This is totally opposite of what I feel when I hear this beautiful melody. It's almost unbearably sad and painful, but in the most gentle and moving way, like saying goodbye to the love of your life, forever. It's a different kind of pain, which you feel deep in your chest, right where the heart is. Almost like emptiness and you feel as if your whole body will implode. Yes, it hurts, and yet I consider it the most beautiful feeling of all. Without this, love would have no meaning. I want to thank the author for writing this masterpiece, which today moved me like no other song or melody ever did. Thank you, Gavin Luke.
If anyone ever thought what love feels like this would be it. You can't experience love without feeling pain and sadness. Yet every one of us is looking for it all our lives. Strange, isn't it?
In my opinion, this tune is not suitable for any cooking show. No matter how good those shows are. Nor is it written for relaxation. It's almost like blasphemy to use it in such a way. This melody is best used for tragic love stories that draw tears, which people carry in their hearts for the rest of their lives. But then again, it's only my opinion....

@@japneetkaur6837 Thank you. This here is my main account, and I actually didn't realize I used a different one until the comment was already finished. It means a lot for the person who wrote something when someone recognizes and commends their simple thoughts on "paper" lol. I will remember your comment forever because people usually don't say anything at all when they read what I write. And yes, I do try to write. The longer I do it the better it gets. I used to find typing very tedious, but with enough practice, you get better and better, and most importantly faster. Without speed, it's almost impossible to write a few coherent stories. Plus a writer needs confirmation from others, otherwise, the writing is useless. It could be very frustrating.
But simple it's not. I went back to this comment a couple times, to edit it. Polishing and trying to make it flow, for which I will forever be thankful to the computers with their screens, fast typing, and endless and easy editing ability.
Try writing yourself. You might find a writer living inside your head too. I knew, for example, that I could write simple and short rhyming verses. But one day a very powerful emotion compelled me to keep going. I started by simply answering a very mean comment, which I found deeply offensive, with a comment of my own. Before I knew it words spilled out of me and became long sentences. I painstakingly arranged everything into paragraphs, with words that had the same sounding endings. Of course, besides rhyming everything had to have a concrete meaning too.
Before I knew it I had a long and funny poem dedicated to the war in Ukraine. I don't find the murder of innocent people and children funny. I was just making light of the greed and stupidity of the occupying side. The soldiers stole literally everything, from expensive electronics to worn and sometimes dirty women's underwear, used cosmetics, and canned food. Sometimes they stole food for animals but ate them themselves. Thus showing the entire world how poor and unprepared the army of the aggressors really is. Acting like an ancient horde rather than a modern army that was rumored to be the second-best in the entire world.
Thanks again for your kind words. I will keep trying to write more. And suggest that you try it yourself. Start with a simple story that you would tell your friend, a sibling, or a parent. You will find it hard at first if you never did it before. I had this problem for a while. I had a good practice where I had to write short and dimple emails to clients for example. Writing is a very useful skill in business for example. Being able to express your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions in the correct, polite, and most of all short form is gold. It's not easy either and sometimes takes years of practice to get it just written.
English is not my first language, which makes it much harder than for a native speaker, for example.

If it isn’t already, this tune will likely become very well known and broadly used in various film scenes and youtube motivational videos. Very beautiful melody with a strangely familiar feel to it. I first heard this tune watching a Wildernesscooking video staged in Azerbaijan and fell in love with it immediately. When I listen to this melody I get an overwhelming sense of familiarity because it reminds me of what it felt like the first time that I experienced authentic human freedom and the blissful ignorance of early adulthood. Bless the creator of this

All of a sudden, everything becomes alright,
The darkest of nights, gives way to daylight.
The burdens that weighed, heavy on the soul,
Lifted up and away, making one feel whole.
The tears that once stained, the cheeks now dry,
Replaced by laughter, no more need to cry.
The worries and fears, that clouded the mind,
Suddenly seem distant, left far behind.
The heart finds its rhythm, the spirit takes flight,
In this magical moment, the world feels so light.
Challenges once towering, now seem so small,
With newfound strength, one can conquer them all.
Love and hope, intertwine and dance,
Filling every corner, given a chance.
All of a sudden, in this beautiful sight,
The world comes together, and everything's alright.

    Into the night she walked,
She feared the sun might burn her skin,
She has now become, the ghost of her own regrets,
Only to find out that, regrets can be forgiven,
    Forgiven through good deeds,
but, It's a bit too late for her now,
She can't go back to being alive. Maybe that's why she haunts people,
Maybe she haunts them into not becoming like her,
Maybe she looks for her acceptance in their pain,
In the end, all we look for, is some sense in our death...

The morning after I killed myself, I went back to that body in the morgue and tried to talk some sense into her. I told her about the avocados and the stepping stones, the river and her parents. I told her about the sunsets and the dog and the beach. The morning after I killed myself, I tried to unkill myself, but couldn’t finish what I started.
