A jammer is essentially like having thousands of ppl screaming together in a room to cover up for 1 person's voice. On the other hand stealth technology drastically lowers radar detection ranges and allows a pilot to fly far deeper into high threat areas w/o being detected. Big difference. It's true that LOW FREQUENCY radars can detect stealth aircraft more easily. But due to the physics of how low frequency radars work they are massive, not easily portable, and easily fooled. The radar dish has to be very large. 2 story building large and also extremely easy to locate via satellite and have a cruise missile take it out from the navy. Low frequency radars also are horrible platforms to use to fire SAM's with. By nature they update extremely slowly....and like I said easily fooled.

9g manoeuvrability is amazing but when will that be necessary? When did the USAF do Air to air combat last? Genuine question not being critical, I admire the American military.
When did the US last attack a high threat country? A long time ago. There was some air-to-air combat in Iraq 1.0, but it was pretty one sided. The allies had both the technological AND the numerical advantage.
Vietnam, in fact your statement, "9g manoeuvrability is amazing but when will that be necessary?" was exactly what was going through the minds of the Aviation community in the United States and what lead to the design of the F-4 Phantom, more specifically it's lack of guns as it was deemed "unnecessary as all engagements will take place at long range". Well the US very quickly found out that manoeuvrability and a gun is very important on an aircraft when the Aim-7 missile was found to be unreliable and often lead to the engagement of enemy aircraft at close range, in which the F-4 struggled due to it's lack of gun and inferior manoeuvrability. What's the tactical advantage of super cruise in the modern era?
pls follow and comman jesus
So much politically correct language in this discussion i almost couldnt understand what he was talking about...His brain has been programmed, part of his training as a soldier.
Cecil has a major shoulder muscle imbalance going on.
Good observation, more than likely due to years of unequal shoulder position between throttle and stick.
*What Differentiates the F-35A from the F-16? About $70 Trillion!*
dan taylor
More advanced, superior technology does not come cheap!
+dan taylor
What?
1.5 trillion is for almost 3000 jets and all service to the year 2070
2070? There won't be any oil left by then! What fucking use is this lemon fighter when there's no fuel? Jes you people have no critical thinking skills, the future is the next 5 seconds for you guys isn't it? Idiots on yt is still massively out of control now.
+dan taylor
The current oil deposits only will last until 2050 according to geologists and relevant scientists. Reserves of it, on top of small pockets in Alaska and Texas left, as well as numerous elsewhere will provide maybe another several decades worth of oil. Then L.N.G. and synthetics on top of that.
How is it a lemon?
F35 can't turn, can't climb, can't run, only can make rolls but it is stil flying straightforward. Then camera ends. All videos are the same. Show me F35 making 9G 20degrees per second turn in sustain speed like F16. Impossible. And Russian can achieve over 30degrees per second turns. F35 is hopeless.
You are too outdated in your thinking.
Show me where turning fights happen in modern war. Russian planes can't out turn a missile.
@@TheCappucinochannel-os4neshills and morons still think that a modern air to air combat means a dogfight like in ww1 or ww2 with planes trying to get on each others tails
@@lefunnyN1 the funniest fact to point out to them is that the latest dogfight that ever happened despite the wars with modern equipment taking place now was between two helicopters
Even now countries make the mig21 stealth...
How? Jammers.

Bring on that old klunker!!
F-35A is too soft to do closed air support.
Who fly the F35? You or Cecil?
I agree. Close Air Support should have its own dedicated platform. Something with two engines for starters. Maybe recessed engines like the YF-23 had to hide its IR sig from the ground, and a bit of armor.
When do you know?
modern battlefield is so saturated with aa weapon systems that doing cas is nearly impossible without losing at least some of your aircraft with each run
Flying garbage F15>f35
Are you really that stupid?
