I live in north county after living in Point Loma, Mission Hills, Pacific Beach, etc. I agree with you. It’s perfect for families! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
I live in North County, moved here 2 years ago. Every time I drive down to San Diego proper, I just want to get back. Yep there’s more choice for food and entertainment for sure, but it has now become slightly dirty. Roads are not looked after. Carlsbad Village, Encinitas, Cardiff, San Elijo Hills… so beautiful, you never need to leave.
I live in delmar heights, originally from NYC… it’s beautiful here but very boring & expensive lol unless you’re busy with young kids & raising a family.. I don’t suggest it.
Hoping you can make a video about east county. I'll be renting in the city soon but I'm hoping to buy eventually and I know east and north are the most attainable areas.
The best zip code is 92127, in the city of San Diego and in North County. Plus, that’s where the Rancho Bernardo Industrial Park ( all the big tech companies including Apple building a 5000 employee campus) is and the fine Poway school system. On the west end is higher upscale Black Mountain Ranch and Parts of Rancho Santa Fe.
Encinitas & Carlsbad provide far more attractive living options, compared to the greater San Deigo area. Even certain neighborhoods in Oceanside are very nice. I've lived all over San Diego over the last dozen years, & my favorite communities are by far Encinitas, Carlsbad, Cardiff, & Del Mar.
Hi Dan, do you have experience in looking for a land or a very old house (which we can demolish and put something like a prefab there) in San Diego county? I don't have kids, so school ranking is not important to me but crime rate is. I'm not DIY person, so I need help with choosing a land or a very old house and choosing a prefab house (as I don't want to live in an old house).
I do have some experience with this, but it just depends how realistic your plans are. There is no cheap solution to owning land in SD, and that includes buying a lot with a prefab house. It's most often easier and cheaper to purchase a resale home.
That was my first time on a OneWheel! I'd love to get one, but I haven't been on one since unfortunately. Thanks for the invite! I'll keep that in mind
@@DanPBestLifeSD I usually watch your videos because they’re great but so cause I’m a native San Diegan & really close to taking my license test. Then I saw the onewheel and had to ask! Haha. Welcome to join us anytime, we have lots of spare boards too
It is ok here, boring at times, food is no where near as good as in SD.. Plus the food is so expensive. If you want to live a very very quiet life .. With very rude people then NC is for you. IDK why they say the schools are so good.. Most of the schools are run down looking. But who knows.
The majority of the residents in North County are stuck-up, condescending, and cold. The area is suitable for older and boring folks who want to live in quiet neighborhoods. Last year, I took an Uber from the San Diego airport to Vista and the driver couldn't stop talking about how much she hated North County. Lol
Yup. Exactly. No reason to live in this area. We are such cold and condescending residents. We absolutely hate life and are super old, boring, and a quieter life is terrible. Pass it on to all your friends. DO NOT consider NC SD. Also, the prices are way too expensive and too many people, so I recommend Texas or Idaho.
San Diego California ....currently THE most expensive city to live in the ENTIRE COUNTRY! according to a recent article. NYC / Hawaii / Los Angeles are more "affordable"/ less expensive than San Diego 🤣😂 .
And unfortunately I truly believe it's going to get worse. We may have been deemed the most expensive place to live when you consider all the living factors, but our home prices are not as expensive as LA and the Bay Area (yet)
get worse you say? a recent CBS 8 story says : SAN DIEGO - As the cost of living continues to climb, a majority of San Diegans are now considering moving out of the county. Have you seen this story and if so what are your thoughts Dan? @@DanPBestLifeSD
Yes that article was a bunch of BS. They interviewed a couple hundred college students. Not even close to an accurate depiction of our population. You will keep seeing headlines of people leaving CA, meanwhile SD’s population continues to rise
I agree...very misleading story, why would they put that type of spin on a local news channel story ? if prices can just stabilize a bit we might have a chance to make a move to SD and buy a fixer in a decent neighborhood if the flippers can cool their Jetts . @@DanPBestLifeSD

I love south east San Diego
Nicely put. I’d like to move up to Encinitas to escape the crowds in PB. But the prices up there!!

North San Diego is the best
It would be better to know price per square fr ranking rather than average sales price in order to rank expense .
Do you think they should add an international airport in North County?
Dan, do you Onewheel?! You should join our San Diego Onewheel group rides!

Good to know. Thanks so much!
The title should say North County Coastal. The discussion is tilted that way.
North county forever

@hipcatinca nailed it! 😆

Another brilliant presentation
No no no, north county is terrible!!
NC sucks. Del Mar, LJ, Encinitas, Leucadia and parts of PB are the only places I would live.
Babes, we don’t have north county money or skin color.
