The Honda CR-V, which stands for "Comfortable Runabout Vehicle".
There are three different engine options are offered for the CR-V: the 1.5-liter V Turbo CVT, the 1.5-liter VX Turbo CVT AWD, and the hybrid 2.0 RS e:HEV CVT. Whereas the RS e:HEV CVT is limited to five seats, the non-hybrid models provide third-row seating for a maximum of seven passengers.
The Honda CR-V is available in a front-engine, front-wheel-drive or front-engine all-wheel-drive configuration. It is a small crossover that is built on the Honda Architecture Platform. Two different engine options are available for the crossover: a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine with two motors and a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
The all-internal combustion drivetrain produces 240 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 1,700 rpm and 187 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. In contrast, the hybrid powertrain generates 183 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm and 146 horsepower at 6,100 rpm. The EURO 4 regulations for the Philippines are satisfied by both engine choices.
The Honda CR-V has a multi-link suspension system up back and MacPherson struts up front for its suspension system. Solid disc brakes in the back and ventilated disc brakes up front provide stopping force. Every CR-V model rides on 18-inch wheels that are shod in tires measuring 235/60/R18.
The Honda CR-V boasts a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda Connect. Additional connectivity options include front and back USB ports, audio streaming, and Bluetooth hands-free calling.
A 10-inch digital instrument cluster that shows the fuel range, the in-car navigation system, a driver attention display, warnings, and personalization options is standard on all CR-V models. The CR-V boasts features that enhance comfort, such as clever keyless entry, eight-way power adjustable driver seats, and intelligent automatic temperature control. The VX and RS versions of the CR-V come with a multi-view 360-degree reverse camera, while the standard model has a wide-view camera.
The front end of the CR-V is similar to that of the eleventh generation Civic, starting with the front fascia. The black grille with a mesh design is positioned between the simple and elegant headlamps. In addition to a vertical air inlet that balances the lower grille and gives the CR-V a square-jawed appearance, the flanks have an L-shaped trim that houses the DRLs.
The CR-V is equipped with both active and passive safety systems, making it extremely safe. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering body architecture of the CR-V is the first step towards ensuring passenger safety in the case of an accident. Its purpose is to produce a more secure and resilient shell. In addition, the CR-V has ten airbags total, all of which are thoughtfully positioned around the cabin in high-risk zones.
The Honda SENSING safety package is standard on all 2024 Honda CR-V versions. With this, the car gains additional safety features including adaptive cruise control, low-speed follow, lane keep assist, front collision warning, lane departure warning, lead car departure notification, collision mitigation braking system, and road departure mitigation.
