- Whenever I am working on a new record, I always write songs that I like, but don't work for the larger concept. Something about the mood, the lyrics, or the production make them an odd fit. In the past, I would stop working on those songs once I recognized this, or I'd finish them up and they'd just sit on a hard drive somewhere. I've decided while working on "Into The Woods" to release them as singles along the way instead.
"Reveries" is the first of these. There are already others.
And as for the track itself, it covers a similar theme, I guess. It's about people that don't quite fit together anymore, but there's no anger or resentment in it. It's a drifting apart, not a breakup. And while you still care about each other in your ways, it's time to move on, and neither party owes the other anything.

I sit alone, in a foreign country, on a trip for business. Sitting to eat a modest meal, I decide to open UA-cam. In an attempt to bring some sound to my silent BnB, I search from for some music. It’s not long before I am greeted with this. Although the lyrics of your song may say otherwise, this brought the strongest sense of warmth to my night. I appreciate that.

My grandfather just died, I subscribed to radical faces a long time ago and havent listened to them in a while, but I loved this song so much, it's a comfort. Life is full of regrets and my regret right now is not visiting my grandfather, I know my mother regrets it, shes in a lot of pain. I hope you all spend the most time with your family, even if you wish you had a different family, this is the only family you got, you cant change that, love you all, I dont care if I dont know you all, I love you all and i hope you all have a great life no matter the trials you all go through. ♡
