I loved all your answers guy on s Q an A Some good questions. The answer to the older men coming to help you was totally right. Comes down to my thought. Life for some of us older guys try's to take the country out of you but the dream of country never leaves. I laughed at the answer sexing rocks was very funny. The problem with rocks like to they breed an some females like to hide very well. It seems that the female rocks tend have hiding places for their baby rocks that grow.. It also seem that no matter how many bull rocks you find there is always some hide and breed . You see the baby rocks each spring LOL Matt you have a interesting way of raising your cattle it is different Love the videos
Absolutely right about starting from scratch. Had a job until we grew it big enough with my dad. Flipped cattle as well. Never keep heifers around here, try to buy and sell cows and calves on the highs and lows of the market. The wife still has a good job that we live on and reinvest what the farm turns over into itself constantly. The third generation will have it much easier if they so wish to farm.
Loved the footed from the Cinch Playoffs, watched it all last weekend on the CC. JD got a stubborn one in the shortround. I think he's set for a solid NFR! Great video guys, really enjoyed it!
We had Rocks, not Boulders in our Ohio garden that we gathered each year and gave to the corn field behind the garden that would migrate back to the garden in Spring somehow! 😆
Greeting from Ireland, love your chats about farming ,it's strange ,we seem to have similar problems this side of the pond, the advice is the same as you gave, if you want to go farming don't give up the day job the margins are too thin.
I grew up in Pennsylvania where we had pheasants flying everywhere. About 1980, our pheasant population went from booming to almost no birds over night. Must have been something like avian flue that wiped them out, never to return. The only ones around anymore are the pheasants stocked by the game commission. Those dumb birds stand along the road waiting for the truck to pick them back up. The ones that don’t get shot or run over can lay eggs, but they won’t set on them to hatch out. What a loss for future generations.
That was an awesome Matty absolutely brilliant idea on answering the question's in a video. Thanks for taking us along to the rodeo I've never being to one looks amazing and I'd say it would be a great night out. We don't have them here How did You're nephew do in it the following night did he win Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
When you have some time off in winter, come down to New Zealand. We would love to have you! Our steak & burgers aren't bad either! 🥝 Always entertaining thanks🤙
How many acres do u take care of? Back in the early 90's I visited Sturgis a few times and if u were around then I would have and worked for room and board im 74 now and would like to make it up next yr.
I take it Cordell is married with a daughter & son. Cute grandkids & not very camera shy. You’ll have to have them come out to the farm & help when they get older.
You’re just like my dad Matty Ice. “”Did Dane ever start ranching?” Interest rates, cost of land, and input costs keep the next generation from being managers. Sorry to say - but we’re all waiting for the boomers to die - so we can inherit and run it how we want. We’ll take you all to the end of the pasture 😂😂😂😂😂
JD's wrong, i can knock out a few hundred rounds and come home n watch a few farms roll up cow chow over supper, and yeah my two 568 balers cost me a 1/3 of a new 560m
That was fun Thanks. Fancy pants was born to be on camera, nice job . See Ya next time.

Is the hoop building going to have sidewalls or is it just rounded like a quonset hut? Cant wait to see it!
Sweet!!😊
Are those Rocky ridges where you’re picking all the rocks the remains of a glacial moraine from the last ice age? I like the Q&A.
That was a great rodeo! Would love to go to it some time! Had several Oregon boys there which is where I’m from! Thanks for video👍

Should I start by buying used equipment to start my farm
Since you opened Q&A with wild game… any prairie dogs around? The nuisance kind not the pet kind…😂

The last time I was in Sioux Falls, I had all my wisdom teeth dug out during Christmas vacation back when I was in college.😩☹️😡🤠
I just saw Judas Priest in there the other day.
Nebraska is loaded with pheasants 😅
not anything like it used to be or even close to what so. dak. has.. Roundup and high priced corn has reduced the habitat in Nebr. signifigantly.
Do you use corn stubble for bedding? Steve from Illinois
Porch talk question? How long has your family been ranching, if you HAD to pick a different job what would it be ? ❤trav

What about the transgender rocks. How do you determine what they are to separate them.
Those are the ones they dig a deep hole and bury.
How did sassy pants get her nickname?????
And how many acres are on your ranch?
JD's wrong, i can knock out a few hundred rounds and come home n watch a few farms roll up cow chow over supper, and yeah my two 568 balers cost me a 1/3 of a new 560m
