The video was about an outside system but if you are hooking this up inside better get the certification. Just a heads up.

I had a delta pro. But I wanted a stand-alone unit that outputs 240 volts to power my deep well water pump in an emergency. So, I bought a Delta Pro 3 with a $500 coupon on Amazon and brought it down to about $3200. It's not too bad for a 4000-watt 240 voltage portable power station.
Just wondering what size well water pump you have 1/2 hp or 3/4, and what is the surge of the well pump when it kicks on? Can the Delta Pro 3 handle it?
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about buying an Ecoflow power station. If they are out of an item, their website will not state this. Therefore, they will take your money for something they don't even have in stock. I ordered a River 2/panel combo for my daughter. The panel was shipped, but the not the River2. I had to email them to find out what is going on with the River2. That's when they informed me that they won't have any until the end of July.

Adding a light to any unit is useful but not if it's too bright and in your eyes. Dazzle. 🙈 BATTERY powered LED sensor lights around my house to illuminate critical areas during frequent power cuts. In your scenario I would drape a head torch around the carry handle on the power unit. Always have a back up for the backup😊
Confession: I wired the lights in my shed to run through a barrel connector on my OG River, which I used for testing. When I went to buy a River 2 to keep in there permanently, I was mad that it only included the cigarette lighter port. I now need to convert it to a 12V car connector. I appreciate having both, especially as little room as the barrel connector takes up.
For the low solar input my tip is to charge (part of) your solar first into a 12/24/48 volt battery first using a good mppt and then connect a DC-DC in between the battery and the Ecoflow('s low input port) This is also practical when you need to use the Ecoflow on a different location for a few hours and want to charge it quickly on return. I am doing this with my Ecoflow devices for a long time and it works great. You can even lower the charge amps to reduce the loss in the cable
FYI in the camping community I’m in we have Barrel connector that convert to the “cigarette lighter” plug so the loss of that connector isn’t a big deal.
I have a small house. This unit would meet my needs. It would be fun to see you test it on a small house that has a generator panel and a manual transfer switch. I had my house hooked up so I can run everything in my house except my stove and washer and dryer. I did it this way so I could keep my sump pumps going during a power outage with a gas generator. I have the 240 volt generator plug too. It was fun running both my TVs 2 acs my fridge and pc off of a 8000 watt generator when we tested the panel. Hopefully I’ll never have to use it.
Once they make these things powerful enough (at the right price) to use as a reliable backup for running an A/C in the middle of summer for at least a day, I'll jump on board. Gas gen until then.
I just ordered one. I will order a second battery when I have more money. I’m going to use it through my transfer switch in my house and see how it works for me. I do have a gas generator too that I could start to charge this.1200 watt solar panel system I could tap into too
The thing i like with the delta pro was that you are able to charge from an EV charger. I haven't seen another power station with this outlet. Just another way to charge which is great. Like if using for vanlife.
I just coverted all my cigarette lighter plugs to anderson plugs. Then i bought a three way anderson splitter and a anderson to cigarette adapter just in case. Anderson plugs are far more secure and are able to handle more power.
I would like to see you test that. Set up a 2 ton air conditioning unit. Make sure the air conditioning unit has a soft start on it for the in Run amps to be lower. And see if this can run it.
I have a 2.5 ton heat pump with a soft start. 17 amps initial and 14.7 while running. Also have a well pump 16 amps. Sounds like it’s way too much for either one much less both.
I am new to generator talk..about all I know is that I need one and am going to buy one. Thanks that you are better as a reviewer, and you talk in simpler terms that amateurs can grasp...not simply spouting off numbers and specs. . Other videos seem like manufacturer's marketing dept that hardly discuss any cons or dislikes. I have to move away from where I have a Generac system so Need a new generator.
Man if they had put a bigger inverter in there to run pumps. compressors, etc and put the 12v DC port then this would be a home run. I need a 240v to run my pumps and I'm not convinced it's going to make it. If you have any more testing you can do on it, that would be great. There's not many devices on the market that can easily do 240v and run a 1/2 or 3/4hp well pump. That's what we want.
Re: built in light. I personally think all of them should stop putting a light on their units. A small head lamp is all you need and trying to put something on a unit that may never get used is a waste of money, design effort and space.
I'm with you. If you're that desperate put your flashlight on top, it probably won't slide off and the reflected light will be enough unless your walls are painted black or something.
Same as other comments - you don't have a flashlight? wouldn't a unit light limit you to just seeing the front panel? What if you need to look at the back or the two side slideout access points?
Just got one on Amazon's black friday deal with their glacier fridge. Hope I can get some good use out of them. Last year my power went out for 5 days straight.
Thanks for the video, though you not completely right about 12V socket, Anderson-12V Car adapter works great. You can have 2 car sockets with that DC-Car socket adapter. It is true about 1 more cable and it's bad they removed it, still no need to use 110/220 for camping stuff.
I think the only thing I can criticize this new unit (outside of it not playing nice with the main Delta Pro unit in anyway outside of the batteries) is that you are still only able to connect 2 batteries or a battery and their gas generator. The batteries are just there for the main unit and can't do anything else. It would be nice to be able to daisy chain more batteries or be able to take the extra battery and carry it to a charging source so the main unit can continue to power you loads and you don't have to run cables everywhere or something.
I don’t mind the lack of a 12 volt socket. This unit (although it does have a RV style 30 watt) is clearly meant to be more of a home backup unit than a portable camping power source. Lugging an extra teenager worth of weight in the trunk….probably not. But I know what to grab if my EV runs dead on the side of the road 😅
Agreed. I connected a 12V fusebox to the anderson port and run my entire van through the Anderson port. They could however do more about it e.g. Offer an Ecoflow smart fusebox (12V) which let's you switch on/off individual devices or at least simplifies the 12V integration
I wish these companies were more honest about surge capacity. They want these units light so they got rid of the transformers but there’s nothing that handles a surge like a heavy transformer. You have to take their surge capacity claims and divide them in half for an accurate figure. Even then….
@@FullSendPrecision Exactly! Unless you install a "soft start" on those high draw items, it isn't very reasonable to assume it could handle that kind of in-rush current.
How about we just went through Hurricane Helene, had a massive 6500 gas generator we didn't need to run all the time, but had multiple power tool batteries and phones we needed to charge up? Could have been topping some form of single battery bank off to run small electric stuff off of in between stints of the big gas generator pumping up our fridge, coffee maker, grinder, etc.
I'm looking at making a power station and having done so, I'm struggling to understand how they justify the cost. A 12v/280Ah/3584Wh battery is £500. A decent inverter is only £150. A solar charger roughly £100 and carry case, around £50... plus a few wires/ports which are dirt cheap. How on earth can they justify nearly $3500?!
Thanks for your review, you didn't sound as excited compared with ultra, I agree a car charger should be included. It doesn't sound like a massive upgrade from the last compared to the $$ great show thanks.
Did you know there's an X-Boost feature on this unit to power high demand units? It is disabled by default and has to be enabled in the EcoFlo app. It boosts the available demand power to 6000 watts. I'm sure it reduces the watt hours considerably with the high draw, but it is an option
Nice review! I'm also considering the Anker F2000 with the extra battery. I know it's been out for a while but about $1000 cheaper. Also has seen lots of people reporting issues with Ecoflow products as well as customer service lately. I would be using this in a 6x12 camper, home back up the rest of the time. Thanks
If I'm honest, it looks like a quality control problem. I think they've been using a cheap third party service... my gripes with ecoflow only seem to be increasing. Don't get me wrong, I think they're still good... I just think they're losing the edge they had when I got into their ecosystem.
It has 2 inverters you can run them in tandem adding the 2 inverters together for double the watts or in split phase 240 this is a great option it gives you the option of double watts or split phase it is odd the they aren't set up to use the plugs split phase 240 has 2 120 volt legs but when you plug in your house to the 240 split phase you have some plugins working I hope since I'm committed to a dual power system 120 AC and 12 volt DC I'm planning on putting the money I'd pay for grid tie and power in a savings account by the time my units life is over I'll have enough money to buy the best unit available and by then this unit will be obsolete and they have better units
1. Ecoflow pioneered ergonomic designs that look at home in your house. Before this company, everything looked very industrial. So how is that a negative? 2. An Anderson connector to cigarette Lighter adapter is very available on Amazon, but they tend to shake loose and overheat so all the solar generators limit the amperage to 10A. If you wanna supply more than that, you have to put it on an Anderson connector, which is secure. 3. If you just discharged the battery at a high rate of speed, or dumped most of it's capacity, of course it's not going to recharge at the highest possible rate. It takes some time for the battery to cool down before the BMS will allow top charging speed. 4. If you're experienced with solar generators, you should already know these things.
The only issue i see is it costs way too much . Every time they charge to much money it forces many to learn how to just build there own . Building your own gets you a lot more storage capacity and gets rid of these portable limitations
For the 12 Volt output lacking the "barrel plug", you could make one with Anderson inputs and a "barrel plug" output fairly easily. So, not a game changer, but not a deal breaker either.
No 12v cigar socket is a deal breaker for exactly the reason mentioned in this video. Whilst not a deal breaker, I also think that Ecoflow really need to either rethink the form factor of the unit or add sturdy tie down points. The unit as is is highly susceptible to tipping over in the back of a 4x4 when going round tight curves and corners on mountain passes. Another thing that I do not like is the choice of wheels. They are fine if on a finished flat surface but utterly useless on a muddy field or gravel. Swit (I think it is Swit) introduced a portable battery unit for filmmakers and their unit has proper pneumatic tyres. I really would like to see companies like Ecoflow that target consumers add proper tyres or at least offer a custom cart for traversing rough terrain. Pneumatic tyres would also have the added benefit of absorbing some of the vibrations whilst pulling it along. They, like others, are over-focused on making their units look cool with fancy displays than real, practical function.
The cigarette style 12v output outlet definitely needs to go the way of the Dodo bird. They are cheap, don't last and prone to magically popping out on their own all too often. Glad to see it's NOT included. There should be however, higher amperage 12v outlets and even 24v outlets by now. Don't get why manufacturers don't include those options.
Sorry but I found it funny how people are worry about comforts. In a real life emergency situations, foods, waters, and good flashlights are what gonna keep you alive. Spending 10-15k for complete setup and and hoping to get 12-24 hrs of power is ridiculous. What happens if no power for 5 days? 😂😂😂😂
If you spending $10-15k for a complete system, then you have solar panels and a much larger battery bank then just 1 Delta Pro 3.. so it’ll last longer & you can charge it with the sun😂 that’s why it cost $15k LOL
Its a nice product with some decent upgrades but I dont think it's worth $1,000 more than the original Delta Pro. I've seen the origonal Delta Pro at The Home Depot for $1999.
For many of us consumers this unit is a game changer with EcoFlow strictly because of the 240 volt vs 120volt outlet. That opens up a world of uses, including charging my Tesla.
My concern is the surge limitation. If 240v output can not put out if a surge happens, can you setup the ev to charge without a surge. And would that defeat the purpose of trying to do level 2 charge in the first place. Level 1 charge is too slow for some folks.
Thanks for admitting that the Anker 3800 runs 🏃♂️ both 120v and 240v at the same time! 😀 The other influencers gloss over this very important fact. I was going to purchase that ecoflow, but it can't even run my drier at 5700 watts and my refrigerator both combined for 6100 watts continuous for 57 Minutes. I saw one of the influencer s run an 240 v appliance at 4400 watts and the unit shut off. Yeah No thanks to this new Ecoflow. 😂
We'd like to know if the power stations that output 240v can handle the surge of a well pump. For those of us that live in rural areas, we want to be able to flush the toilet when the power goes out 😂
Great video bro ! I own a couple Ecoflow products including Ecoflow delta 2 + extra battery wave 2 and a couple of 220 solar panels. I’m gong to be in the market soon for something much bigger and I’m debating on the delta 2 max or the delta 3 pro but with the brand new refreshed version of the wave two and the Delta three pro I’m assuming a refresh version is coming for the Delta two and Delta two max as well👀 might hold off until a brand new delta2 or delta 2 max is released. My guess is it will be a smaller version of the Delta three Pro
I wonder what testing would be like if they tied two of these together via the EcoFlow Double Voltage Hub. I have seen several videos online where people do this and then connect to their panel with a 30amp generator inlet to power their whole house. Seems like it runs everything without issue in those videos.

I’m im Europe. Haven’t seen nothing in this unit that is compelling to spend the extra money over the original Delta Pro. Only thing is it is quieter, but that I can achieve spending some 80 euros on Noctua Redux fans.

About the car cigarette, that also is a let down. But a solution is to install a fuse box with the Anderson port. Definitely another annoyance.
I would rather cut off the cigar plug and wire in an Anderson plug on the item I am plugging in. Much safer and way less likely to come out, especially on bumpy roads.
I would think ppl would want multiple smaller units than one heavy one. or is there something noob'ish I'm missing about these. I just got my first one the other day. The no car port makes it the worst meddle out there :(
The problem with all of these devices is that the KWH is still far too small. Then they sell you additional battery packs. Why not make a 10KWH device and then they become really useful. I use 3 kWh just using my computer, printer and desk fan over a 14 hour period. Forget boiling a kettle or running a heater of any sort for any length of time. These devices are really designed for camping or mobile homes. Also the cost is far too high if anyone was thinking of buying these to save money on electricity. They need to be less than half the price and even then the payback is around 10 years when the guarantee runs out.
I own a Delta 2 and with the prices of them now I'm wondering if I should get another or an expansion battery for it, the price is about the same for either.
the fact that you can run the 240 out, while charging 120 in, is a game changer. So when you are powering your house, and the battery gets low, you can plug in a simple small 110v generator, and charge the unit WHILE it is outputting 240 to your transfer switch. You can't do that on an Anker, and that is probably going to happen. Also, the Anker has a 6000 watt inverter, but why? I mean you can run at 600 for about 30 minutes, and the battery is done. That is why Eco Flow smartly just left the inverter at 4k, which is really where you should be using this thing. Your fridge, a couple lights, and your internet hub. Typically this is how people use this as backup. Anything more and you need gas or diesel generator.
I live in louisiana, where Air Conditioning is necessary during hurricane season. I would like to know if this unit can power a window unit for a 250 sq ft room at least overnight running on low but max cool. Also we have 2 refrigerators and two freezers that do mot have to run continuously, can the unit handle that?
It's a numbers game. I have a little 8K BTU window AC that I keep for the same purpose. I think it runs 4-600 watts. This unit is 4K watts, divide that by say 500, and you have 8 hours, but probably a little less. If you add other stuff it's going to lower the time. You'll need expansion batteries if you want to run it 12+ hours. I use a smaller EcoFlow pack to get me through the actual storms (not using AC, just running fridge/freezer, lights, internet), and then hook up a generator when the storm passes. If you get a bunch of sun, you could add solar panels to get you through the day and charge back up, but good sun after a storm is hit and miss.
How many days can it run the Ecoflow Wave 2 (heating and cooling), Ecoflow Glacier, and a CPAP (a lot of folks are buying power banks specifically to run their CPAP)? Is this the one power bank to power the whole campsite and, if so, for how long?
New to solar & I’ve been thinking about getting something like this for emergencies, but you said “off grid” & I’m a little confused. From what I read on these you have to have internet to use the app & you have to use the app to speak to this power station. If I’m wrong can you explain. Kind of counter intuitive if you ask me. I’ve seen countless videos on the Ecoflow Pro 3 & It seems everything goes through the app. If anyone has a link to a video showing otherwise I’d appreciate it.
I guess the wifi is not the internet wifi....it's the Ecoflow battery wifi, more like bluetooth, you don't need internet to connect your phone and Ecoflow Pro 3

That's what we want.
great review , the Eco Pro Utra also on sale now for $4250, seem like a better deal than this one for 3700
Re: built in light. I personally think all of them should stop putting a light on their units. A small head lamp is all you need and trying to put something on a unit that may never get used is a waste of money, design effort and space.
my thoughts exactly, i own so many olights flash lights
I'm with you. If you're that desperate put your flashlight on top, it probably won't slide off and the reflected light will be enough unless your walls are painted black or something.
Or a little light that pops out of the unit. And charges when it's in the unit would be cool
Same as other comments - you don't have a flashlight? wouldn't a unit light limit you to just seeing the front panel? What if you need to look at the back or the two side slideout access points?
Lights cost manufacturers pennies
Good video, as for as 12v car charger, I just got an Anderson power car adapter.
I did to something to keep up with but works great. And the barrel cord works great with a 12 volt fan from Walmart
That's a cord that probably should have come with the unit.
Agreed. I connected a 12V fusebox to the anderson port and run my entire van through the Anderson port. They could however do more about it e.g. Offer an Ecoflow smart fusebox (12V) which let's you switch on/off individual devices or at least simplifies the 12V integration
Nice review. If u really don't need this delta pro 3 I'll take it!😊
I prefer the barrel connectors. I just replaced my fridge cord with one with a barrel plug end. The cigarette plugs always feel flimsy to me.
I wish these companies were more honest about surge capacity. They want these units light so they got rid of the transformers but there’s nothing that handles a surge like a heavy transformer. You have to take their surge capacity claims and divide them in half for an accurate figure. Even then….
To be fair... people generally underestimate how much surge things like an AC or Air compressor motor need
Nice video , going to watch more of your videos. Bummer can not use 240 and 120 together.
The outlet that you was unsure about is 220 20 amp. It is used for 220v air conditioning and splits amperage load in half
Just got mine, absolutely love it! Btw first time i watched and subbed, great review!
Use the Anderson 12v connector for dc use, get a matching Anderson connector to cigarette lighter adapter.
When you need 240v, it's nice to have in this unit.
I got a night food truck and i need a lot of power i got (sandwich unit,ac 12btu ,fridge ,fan and led light) so this is a no no?
He says he can’t be bought, but if we invent one of these badboys with a wrap-around light bar…
That plug is commonly used in data centers or with computer equipment. Its a 30 amp plug its very common in the US.
TinyBaby don't wanna lift it, TinyBaby didn't put it over his head either and I DON'T BLAME HIM!
i'll wait for EcoFlow Delta Pro 4. because my EcoFlow Delta Pro 1 has it all for me. i really need that 12v plug. plus it was cheaper.
I would rather cut off the cigar plug and wire in an Anderson plug. Much safer and way less likely to come out, especially on bumpy roads.
That weird 240v socket takes a 3 pin UK mains plug, which is nice if you need one.
We don't need the size of screen. Instead, just put few more useful type c onto it.
Great Eco flow delta pro 3 system 😎👍
But it looks so pretty!
You do best reviews of these things.
Great video, Can I fully disable the WI-FI and Bluetooth or is it always on? That's a deal breaker so far.
Are the Chinese coming over the hill?
Its a nice product with some decent upgrades but I dont think it's worth $1,000 more than the original Delta Pro. I've seen the origonal Delta Pro at The Home Depot for $1999.
The delta pro was originally $3600 then it got discounted. I'm sure the same will happen to this
For many of us consumers this unit is a game changer with EcoFlow strictly because of the 240 volt vs 120volt outlet.
Re; no cigarettes lighter type plug. There are adaptors that convert the barrel plug to a cigarette lighter type plug.
They can keep it!
Not a fan of the Weight, seems like a better way to go would be 2 Delta Max's, no?
For those of us that live in rural areas, we want to be able to flush the toilet when the power goes out 😂
Just put a Soft Start on the well pump.
Try plugging a shop air compressor into that 6-20 socket
Great video bro ! I own a couple Ecoflow products including Ecoflow delta 2 + extra battery wave 2 and a couple of 220 solar panels. I’m gong to be in the market soon for something much bigger and I’m debating on the delta 2 max or the delta 3 pro but with the brand new refreshed version of the wave two and the Delta three pro I’m assuming a refresh version is coming for the Delta two and Delta two max as well👀 might hold off until a brand new delta2 or delta 2 max is released. My guess is it will be a smaller version of the Delta three Pro
12:17 have barrell connector adapters from previous power stations that did the same thing...
Hi. This unit seems a response from ecoflow to Zendure Superbase V. How this unit compares to the Zendure Superbase V4600?
@7:38 The battery was only at 41%, not a fair test, charge it up first.
What is the best of the best does anybody know.
Question? Is the Delta Pro Ultra expansion batteries compatible with this? That would be Awesome if it was
I wonder what testing would be like if they tied two of these together via the EcoFlow Double Voltage Hub.
Bought this unit DP3. Tried adding on my delta 2 max extra battery, it has an error code. Looks like it won’t work with my D2max EB. Any suggestions?
Get a simple headlamp. There, done.
0:46 sounds like a dryer/washer? I must be old school. I prefer basic appliances. Fewer breakdowns.
y'all do know most people that use generators at home is mainly for a power outage meaning how long can it power a fridge, say one 575 watts.
Can you compare this with the f3800? Thanks
I would think ppl would want multiple smaller units than one heavy one. or is there something noob'ish I'm missing about these. I just got my first one the other day.
The no car port makes it the worst meddle out there :(
Tiny Baby Don't Want To Lift It...I Luv U Guys LoL
insane tests 👏thanks for the info!!!
That is the standard North American 20amp 3 prong 240v receptacle, while not common to an average user it is a standard plug in the US
I would wait to buy until they fix the things that were pointed out in this video as negatives.
Compatible with their smart generator??
The light just takes more energy when idle but a real small LED that takes almost no energy makes sense
Can you add to it to make your car thing Work ??
Question on Passthrough. You showed 120->120 worked, but can it do 120->240?
I own a Delta 2 and with the prices of them now I'm wondering if I should get another or an expansion battery for it, the price is about the same for either.
Can you add a gas dryer to the surge test. Something that most ppl have.
the fact that you can run the 240 out, while charging 120 in, is a game changer.
😅so if I had this unit with an expansion battery would it then run a compressor?
It's now down to $2999 and I think on black Friday it will be a bit lower.
For the 12v thing, isn't the point that you can just get a cheap 12v barrel to car plug adapter?
I would rather cut off the cigar plug and wire in an Anderson plug. Much safer and way less likely to come out, especially on bumpy roads.
