Man !! This is the rain I crave !! It reminds me of sleeping on the porch while laying on an old quilt and cotton pillow ( picked from the field behind the old home place) . Those were poor days but good days and your blessings were simple things like having something to eat for supper and a mattress to lay on out of the weather. I didn't have any worries back then. I had all I needed.
Reminds me of the times me and my wife were young and travelled with tent and backpack. Whenever it started rainy strong we would stop on a field, build our tent and make coffee, we just lived by the dictation of mother nature and St. Peter. Best times, now we are chubby and old.

What do I hear at the 6 hour mark? It's the most played section so I know I'm not the only one. Wakes me up every night. I always think it's my kids waking up on the baby monitor.
That is very interesting!! Listening to it and going back to the original audio there there isn't anything different or interrupting. I did notice that most of our videos / sounds have spikes around 6 hours. A likely explanation could be that sleep cycles are ~1.5 hours and 6 hours in is about 4 cycles. During sleep people naturally wake up for short periods between each sleep cycle but usually the duration is so short they forget. There are variations in the intensity of the rain and that moment seems to be one of the more intense moments. It could be that between later sleep cycles you are just more aware of the sound? Or a certain cadence reminds you of the baby monitor sound? Another possibility could be the above coupled with habituation, your mind becomes used to a certain trigger waking you up and expects it. (This is often why some people find themselves waking up at the same specific times each night). Maybe you'd have better luck starting an hour or two in so that that part doesn't play during a waking cycle? (Though it seems most likely this is related to sleep / wake cycles.)
