I definitely enjoyed my experience with it, this is just a Beta so it only gets better, I haven't played it enough to really distinguish it's physics based tackling compared to Madden but you can definitely see more defenders bouncing I feel 😊
I played the game for over 2 hours and not once was I bummed out about anything! I feel really good about Maximum Football, it has some promising things going for it. Presentation is a big one for me, there are of course things they need to work on. But overall not bad, and it will be Free to Play. So much to dive into with this. I'm playing on PC and definitely notice a couple of bugs especially with receivers catching the ball but as you said definitely tons of fun and no complaints and it's free which blows my mind and also worries me about what kind of microtransactions there might be 😅 Can't wait will definitely check it out!
No Commentary team but there was a Stadium Announcer. It actually didn’t bother me being like this what so ever surprisingly… I am usually one that cares for good commentary!!!
Just a couple critiques and questions (I haven’t been able to play yet because my Windows crashed) 1. Lack of gang tackling 2. Everyone goes down like they were shot on a tackle, no fighting for extra yards 3. QB contain is non existent 4. I hope there will be a challenge option because that wasn’t a TD on that Grey run 😅 5. Everyone running like a board is up their butt (not a biggie really) 6. From watching a few reviews, I hope there is controller Mapping 7. Lack of different tackles (spinning someone down, no tackle from behind really?) I know it’s Beta so I’m sure this is bare bones gameplay really and there is a lot of good. Presentation is great. Love the kicking meter Ball physics seem good Loved how the players tracked ball in air with their head Still hate the overlay coming up CONSTANTLY graphics are really good I’m just hoping to get something on par with Madden/NCAA 11! Which I still Play today! I’m excited to see how the college/pros work together on this! And I’m sure they will be constantly adding with updates etc. I can’t wait for consoles. Good start I think.
I personally haven’t seen the individual player stats/sheets yet. I have seen a couple of gang tackles in my over 2.5 hours playing the game so far! I have seen 1 tackle from behind animation played out on 2 separate occasions. Not sure on the controller mapping but due to it being the Beta we probably won’t know or see that feature until the game fully releases.
Yeah the game looks like it has a solid chance at becoming a very well made game. I would love to see them upgrade the ai on the defense, because they seemed to be VERY weak compared to offensive ai, which has lead to a huge amount of questionable plays where the defense should've made a play. If they're able to make both sides of the field play hard against each other, it will be a solid game honestly.
Passing is pretty fun. Running needs work and playing D isn't hard just feeling like player you select on D no matter what position doesn't make much of an impact.
I’ve made a few user plays on defense. Idk if the run game needs work, maybe we just need to adjust to it. I found it difficult at times to run yes. But there was a few runs I managed to break off because I found a Very tight gap in the offensive line. Gonna continue to play the Beta to get a better understanding of it all
Got to play it a bit before having to head out and honestly I’m excited for this, it actually exceed expectations in certain areas presentation is solid just from seeing players actually warm up, pitch and catch, the players on the side lines don’t look like this claymation figures, even the details of the turf beads kicking up or the Tee from kick off actually moving and not staying in one spot. Speed/acceleration matter but not only that angles, running the ball can be tricky and have its stiff moments but just needs some tweaking The tackling/shredding tackles was a nice refresh feeling, not once did I see or feel myself or another player get into suction to make a play. The bumps and collision felt as natural as you could get. Would like to see a bit more flow for making line adjustments before the snap of the ball. But overall for a beta solid 7. Can’t wait for the full release
There are a decent variety in the tackle animations. I’ve played the Beta for 6 hours and have seen quite a few nice animations. But for some reason they rarely show up.
my biggest complaint is the replay after every single play there's way to many breaks in the gameplay. also we need a supersim feature to be able to skip defense or offense.
Thanks to ncaa football not coming to pc, I will definitely be playing this a lot! Game looks great. Hopefully you can create your own team and play people online
Saw some things I really liked and some stuff I don’t but overall I think it’s gunna be solid. I don’t think it’s coming to consoles this year and this will hurt the game if CFB is as good as it looks. But overall I like the direction of the game. My biggest issue is the defense constantly losing containment/not having an edge setter.

The worst part of sports games are the announcers. I’d rather hear the environment over the same scripted lines triggered by the type of play. It gets old after a week of playing the game.
Graphics look super awesome okay first negative of this comment is on the kickoff. the kicker didn't have no kind of follow through to his Kick 😂 He just stood there like His kicking power 200! But the graphics do look great this is one comment of a thousand. Lol!
Im not going to lie playing the beta this game has so much potential if you played all of their past titles I was not bored! Good job making this game playable 🎉🎉 Watching it doesn’t give it justice you have to play it The graphics and on field mechanics are the biggest improvements Replays cutscenes post game stats etc The UI is great ( my opinion) And It seems like you can customize your controls big plus 💪🏾 from the options menu -I had no issue navigating through the routes or play-call screen its simple The scoreboard looks good in my opinion But it looks better when playing the game Pre snap menu and defensive adjustments are good On field arts looks better than EA not gone lie 🤔 Scoring a touchdown transition is solid -You can celebrate they have the griddy and a cool backflip ( my go to celebrations) The movement is fair the kickoffs are weird definitely need a better kicker animation -Kickers just walk to the ball to kick 😅 Running is stiff but is not a big problem with a player who has speed -different run animations are needed -you can cut and juke decently (stick skills do matter) -the stiff arm and spin is cool you can avoid defenders If you know how to run the ball handoffs and reading the holes is an issue Drop backs need work Throwing is good not unfair you can place it well The d-line play is actually pretty good the swim and spin are responsive the catching is good for this game With a more physic base approach it could be better tackling wise the quick hits need to be ironed out for smoother transition More animations could be used 🤷🏾♂️ in the tackling department Coverage is ok In air adjustments decent hold Y to catch press Y to deflect Strafe is actually good 👀 Defense you need to be ready or you will get beat easy But its not impossible tackle tracking seems tuned up But overall I came in with no expectations and I was surprised this game could be a solid play and build a bigger fan base in 2 years from this build Lets go maximum football!
With my time playing I have seen quite a few broken tackles. If I had to put a ratio on it, it’s probably 2/10 contact interactions that have broken tackles.

Okay I recognize something else I like the fact that they have a stadium announcer. But you have to let his words and sentences make sense!! The runner is getting a first down clearly, the stadium announcer will say first down and then he was says stopped short by the defender.. 😂 I catch everything 😂

As for commentating that is no problem just act like you have a radio announcer from each school with generic names!! Easy!! Also you can have player chatter and quarterback cadence your normal football game is very noisy so let's have some commotion going on on the field

Now maxi has a new developer now and is showing progress. Like the early stages of madden of 02-04 and 2k football of early 2000s. Which is heading in the right direction.

Their current comentary has been the same/dead since 2017. Maxi football plays like early 2k which means they are heading in the right direcrions and their for improvements unlike ea that needs to depened heavely on animations. Thats why they cant code defense correctly. And madden in the current gens have been out since 2013 and they still can't get it right.

The defense is good at times I’ve noticed during my 2.5+ of gameplay… Overall I like what I see, but there is still work to be done for sure!!! ✅ 👍

Well the 1st obvious thing is during Watm Ups for 2nd half a player thst I'd #56 is throwing passes to a WR or TE as if he is the QB.

You might be right about that. This is only the Beta and there are a lot and I mean a lot of promising things in this early build of the game! In my over 2.5 hours playing I came away very optimistic about its future, and considering it will be Free to Play… 😱😱😱 My thoughts and 1st impressions video will be coming out soon! Gotta get more time on the sticks 1st…

I hate Madden with a passion but people saying this is better than Madden is crazy 😂 This looks worse than PS2 days. Why do they have these cartoony facemask. The toss animations look weird too.
Ps2 games were better than current madden wtf u talkin about willis. ?? That was the prime of madden and 2k. This game feels like early 2k football which is good. And they will improve not like madden where the crowed is dead. And everything is scripted animations with sucking in tackles.

Is this as good as 2K football or EA football games no. No it isn’t. But is this the best playing/feeling/looking indie football game that I have played? Yes, yes it is. Don’t compare this to Madden or even College Football 25. Compare this to the old Maximum Football Games and the Axis football games! You will find its way ahead of those… This game will be even better when it fully releases!!! 🤝

@@timdefrank3641 wtf do you mean dead, the crowed got louder and louder when you got closer to end zone. the tackles is physics base which ea doesnt have bc their tackles are more animation base thats why we see so many tackles suck in animations. Their current comentary has been the same/dead since 2017. Maxi football plays like early 2k which means they are heading in the right direcrions and their for improvements unlike ea that needs to depened heavely on animations. Thats why they cant code defense correctly. And madden in the current gens have been out since 2013 and they still can't get it right.
