The future isn't looking very good with how good the Lions are playing. They've been steamrolling everyone lately except for the Vikings and the Texans. Meanwhile we needed a lucky blocked field goal to beat Duh Bears.

Declan and Phil- you need to read the book True Hearts and Purple Heads by Jim Klobuchar. Great book and a must read for any Viking fan. Highly recommended and for guys who only know the Vikings from 1995 on it is a revelation.
If/when the Vikings finally win the Super Bowl, I would want it to be against the Chiefs, Steelers, or the Bills. Either a revenge for the 1970s or a battle between four-time SB losers.
The Lions are peaking in every important way, but especially at QB with Jared Goff. He looks supremely confident, never loses his cool, and that attitude seems to be running through the entire team. He is hitting his receivers in stride, on time, almost all the time. Two top-shelf running backs, an athletic, stout defense. Lions are a well balanced team in top shape. They look like the best team in the NFL, yet they barely beat the Vikings.
Teams led by Kirk Cousins are destined to forever be just good enough so you have hope, but never good enough to win it all. Watching the replay of the Denver game, there was 2 times where Cousins threw well short of the first down marker on 3rd down. He is not a winning QB. He cares more about not messing up than he does about winning.
The Vikings last 7 Games are against 4 Current Playoff Teams, one Playoff Bubble Team and against a Team that would be in the Playoffs if not for a disastrous final play in 2 different Games that ended in Losses! It's going to be tough especially with the early bye we had.
Disrespectful to Josh Allen to call him John Elway. He’s so much more athletic and a much stronger passer. Elway won 2 super bowls but Allen is on a different level talent wise.
Better athlete yes, stronger passer NO. John Madden said it best "it looks like the ball is shot out of a gun". Gun comparisons will never be given to Josh Allen.
The Vikings are ranked 20 in John Madden 2025. Yes, it is a football game but this is getting crazy. We are eaten too and top 10 and so many categories. Yeah other teams are better than us. We need to all email the Madden ratings people!
Josh Allen is a MUCH better athlete than Elway ever dreamed of being. He can run circles around and through most defenders. Elway was primarily a pocket passer.

Throwing short of third down doesn’t mean you don’t get the third down. Many plays are designed for YAC.
