Thanks for the reaction! I would totally recommend checking out the whole album Hwaa is a part of called “I Burn” ❤ I think a lot of people would argue that this is one of their best albums! This is also the last album Soojin was a part of so it holds a special place in our memories 🥹
This is one of my all-time favorite songs and videos by Idle. I will say this song is part of a 3 song series. Hann (Alone) is the first part, Hann (Alone in Winter) is part two and HWAA is the last part. The first and last ones have MVs. HWAA means Fire and Flower in Chinese and Korean. They have a Chinese version of the song.
And Yuqi wow the lyrics for the Chinese version, which Shuhua described as poetry - there's a behind the scenes of them recording the Chinese version. Hwaa does mean both flower and fire, but also anger and is linked to spring. Soyeon plays with all these meanings in the song.
@@Jneedstostopobssessing I remember Shuhua saying that she finally fully understood the song. Yuqi and Soyeon would also bicker about the translation of her rap. It's apparently really intricate with a lot of wordplay.
@@SFJAras from what I have seen from Korean reactors, it seems that Yuqi's poetic approach is very similar to Soyeon's Korean version in terms of style. I probably should have also mentioned that Hwaa had some similar meaning in Chinese also, though I don't think it works as well as in Korean. I think it's just the fire and flower/bloom meanings they use in the song title.
