Hi I have one problem. My audio worked just fine but now no sound device is available or only my monitor and my monitor’s audio is actually called High definition audio. Realtek shows only as Realtek and after i try to update it there is no option for High definition audio. I really hope you can help me :). It wasn’t like this till last update.
I've been stressed for 4 days now, constantly restarting my computer and stressing out because I make music and wasn't able to record any of my songs. I downloaded a newer Realtek driver online to give me the newer "enhancements" tab to use noise cancellation and unfortunately it made my speakers sound like they were blown! Turns out after using this tutorial, I had 2 different Realtek Sound Drivers downloaded and they kept reinstalling when I would delete one! I finally got my sound back thanks to this video, you are a legend!! Thank you so much!

One more fix for everyone who's still having issues. After watching the video my realtek (r) audio driver still was not out putting sound and i read somewhere that the new windows 10 update installs an outdated version of the audiotek driver, at least in my situation that is. After downloading the driver is still wasn't working because i found that upon uninstalling the driver with the driver installation wizard and then restarting my computer, Windows would immediately reinstall the driver causing a cycle of uninstalling, restarting and then reinstalling automatically. Is there a way to detect the headphone mic without the realtek drivers?
I thought i would get a sound card(usb) to do the switching but, all of them are cheap and bad. If there was some other method, it would greatly help Thank You!
I have the same problem

Edit:I already downloaded Realtek but it still wont show up.
Me too
Same bro, lmk if you figure anything out
Is it disabled?
yeah idk if its the same for u but instead of "Realtek High Definition Audio" its just "Realtek(R) Audio" but despite that i still updated it to High Definition Audio..but nothing happened..instead of changing to High Definition Audio, it simply just stayed as Realtek(R) Audio"...im so lost even at 5+ hours
@@iblazingi1622 Mine says Intel High Definition Audio. Idk if it's the same but I have the Realtek ones installed. My only problem is when I plug in earphones it doesn't work.
I tried all the steps just not icon option set to no , but didnt work , only few files installs during installation i tried all realtek driver but high definition always there
thx, fixed my audio swear Realtek is my arch nemesis
Thank you! This did the trick for me. I got a new laptop and the audio sounded like garbage even though it's a high-end model. It sounded very "filtered" even though I had all effects turned off. I tried this recommendation and now the audio sounds how it's supposed to.
Thank you so much for saving our laptop's audio 💙💙, it really works. This is the only one that works out of the many many many videos that we've watched and this one is not complicated at all. Also, Happy New Year 🎉
I could not see High Definition audio on device manager when I restarted my computer. But my sound now works!!! Thank you so much. I gave up on this issue yesterday after watching 3 different videos and I’m so relieved that your video actually worked.
You’re a fucking beast!!! I just installed new drivers bc I had problems with the mic today and suddenly my sound was super low! Installed multiple sound boosters but none helped... until this video! Keep up the great work!!!

Oh my lord! I had sound issues for almost a year, nothing worked, I gave up hope so many times.. Basically suddenly after a windows 10 update the computer didn't understand that I had two separate devices plugged in when both the speakers and the headset were plugged in. I tried so many complicated things to try to fix the situation, but nothing worked. And then I found this video. Nothing else on the internet told me to switch to High Definition Audio drivers. That was the thing that fixed it. I wish I had found this sooner. I wish I could give this video 100 likes. I'm so happy right now!
